Amazon Customer: It is worth the money. I wish I had this long a go. My mid size dog need filling his nails every other day little by little. He hates being bothered with his feet. My concern is when the grinder wear out, should I buy a new grinder or the manufacture sell the replacement?

Amazon Customer: This worked great for my 7 year old puggle who hated having his nails done! He was most bothered by the loud noise and this grinder is SOOOO quiet compared to every other one I've tried (even on both settings). I couldn't believe it! We did introduce him slowly to it over the course of a day or two and let him "feel" the very, very, small vibration up against his leg first, just so he would know what to expect---but after that and with the help of a few treat rewards, it worked like a dream! No more trips to the vet for nail trimmings--yay!

Amazonian Shopper: I'm so impressed by this little gadget I want to find one for use on humans for my own nails.
I got this at a GREAT price (thank you Amazon!) & am thrilled w/this product. I bought it for an elderly friend & just finished using it on her large hound dog (part Great Dane) as a gift to her for Mother's Day.
First, the directions are actually clear & understandable, so that makes a huge difference! Just follow the directions and you'll be set!
When you open it there's a USB charging cord that comes with it (no plug included so keep that in mind) but the cord plugs into any USB plug adapter (like the one used for charging cell phones). The light on the product flashes blue until charged then holds steady until you unplug it.
There are 2 speeds for grinding but I only used the high speed; I'll play around with the lower speed another time though to see if it irritates a little less. Bear in mind this dog has large thick nails.
There are 2 areas on the grinder where you place the puppy's nail, one for large nails one for smaller, and although this dog is not a smaller breed I was able to use each slot interchangeably as needed for maneuvering. The directions...

BlueAZ: My 40# Red Heeler mix is getting older, so our hikes are shorter and his nails are getting longer. I've always trimmed his dew claws with clippers, which has always been a hassle. I didn't want to have to cut all his nails, but didn't know if he would accept this tool. News Flash: he's just fine with it!! This grinder is indeed super quiet, with just slightly louder buzzing when in contact with his nails. I sit on the floor with him, which he loves, and just do a bit on each nail per session. Then he gets a treat. He's loving it!! And so am I!

book worm: My dog hates nail clippers, and I've developed a certain antipathy to them myself after regularly finding myself in a Greco-Roman style throw-down just trying to trim her demon claws. It would take 30+ minutes to do one paw, and I'd gotten desperate, especially in lockdown. At one point, I think I pulled a muscle.
Oh, and she has those dark nails, and I'm far-sighted...also aging...also teaching online and so starting to develop what feels like perpetual eyestrain. My perky optician (who seems practically fetal, she's so young) has told me, "You're getting older -- and your eyes are REALLY getting older." Suffice to say, it's hard to see her quicks (the dog's, not the optician's), so I also worry about cutting the nails too short.
I wasn't too hopeful about the grinder, to be honest -- this monster-slash-princess of mine doesn't even like moisture touching her feet -- but I decided to give this grinder a try since it had the LED light. Frankly, I'm not coordinated enough to hold a cutting implement AND a light AND my dog's paw in position, so consolidation was needed, and this seemed to fit the bill.
I put laid her on her back against the couch cushions --...
