John Pasquet: The authors are Messianic Jews, so they come from a very unique perspective. Their insights into the Torah are quite intriguing. One of the ideas is that the fathers foreshadow their children.
One example is that Adam foreshadows both Noah and Israel. They note how each was chosen, set a part, given a command, failed, and endured shame (nakedness) as a result. Israel follows the pattern as well.
They deal with the question of the Law and its purpose and give a compelling argument. They suggest that the law was never perfect, even from its origin. It wasn't ideal, but stil far superior to that of the nations around them. Yet, they couldn't even live up to that.
Definitely worth a read and probably a few re-reads.
To be clear, this is the second copy that I bought. I got my first one and showed it to my brother when I went to see him. I hadn't finished it yet, but after he started reading it, he basically told me that he wasn't going to let me have it back. :D

Baruch HaShem!

Liam M.: This book answered the questions I have been having in my mind - why the law; did the law serve its desired purpose; what does non-Jewish believers in Yeshua have to do with the law; where does the law fit in the new covenant.

V.Jones from Ohio: First I want to thank the authors and oneforisrael.org for their dedication to God and His Word.
I am a Gentile who has had a great love and heart for the Jewish people from the young age of 10. After learning about Ann Frank and watching Schindlers List in middle school. I was raised in a Christian home and have had the privilage of knowing about Jesus all my life. I am in my 40's now and have a greater love and understanding about Israel and the Bible because of wonderful people who, in your case as Jews, risk so much in order to accurately research the Scriptures and share what you learn with others.
I have a great desire for Truth and the freedom and peace it brings to the human heart.
This book helps answer some tough questions and misunderstandings people may have about the Torah (Gen, Ex, Lev, Num, Deut) and the Bible as a whole.
I encourage everyone, whether you are Christian, Jew, Muslim, Skeptic, Athiest, Religious or not, please take a few minutes to read READING MOSES SEEING JESUS.
If you ever said or have heard anyone from any background or religion say "we must just believe....have faith". Having faith in what we believe is very important. Sadly...

Joe E. J.: In The Torah’s Goal? Postell et al seek to grasp the meaning and purpose of the The Books of Moses with sensitivity to the author’s strategy, i.e. the author’s intention as revealed in the text’s verbal meaning and strategic arrangement of materials. The authors’ purpose is to provide non-technical, easy-to-understand answers to the questions related to Jewish believers’ relationship to the Torah as a book and to the Mosaic legislation contained therein. In approaching this topic from a burden to help Jewish believers in Yeshua, the authors also provide solid answers for Gentile Christians who might be wrestling with the same issues—Christians wrapped up in legalistic and faulty understandings of the Torah’s goal. The authors express their thesis regarding the purpose of the Torah (5 books of Moses) in the introduction stating, “[The Torah] is an historical narrative, whose purpose is to lead Israel through the broken Law and beyond, namely, to the Messiah who, Moses assures his readers, will come in the last days. To be faithful followers of the Torah, in our view, is to believe in Yeshua!” In my view, the authors make a compelling case for understanding the...
