KJS: What if Jesus was serious? The US would look very different if everyone who claims to be Christian read and pondered this.

Tony Wong: The drawings are fun, but too small. I wish they were larger so I could see and share with others. The content is practically thoughtful.

Package arrived quickly, in perfect condition, as promised.
The book promises to be a humorous, yet no-punches-pulled assessment of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, and how we can start taking our faith seriously, because our world needs us to. Honestly, we need us to also.

Jared Mortley:
This book is great it breaks down Jesus' teachings in a very relevant modern ways. The "chapters" are only a page or two long so you can read one in a day and reflect on it.
I have bee reading a chapter most days and I am definitely learning more about Jesus' teachings.
I think that this would especially be good for young adults and mature youth looking to grow in their faith and thinking about how Jesus' teachings are relevant in todays world.
I also love the pictures he uses to help explain the lessons very helpful.

sundeep salins: Skye has a wonderful way of simplifying over complicated theology into thoughtful reframing of Jesus’ teachings. Worth revisiting the Beatitudes with the book whether a novice or mature Christian.

Leigha:
This book is a captivating visual assessment of the Sermon on the Mount and challenges what Christian Culture is stereotyped as. Jethani breaks down Jesus’s famous sermon into 9 main points and 72 subpoint easy enough for youth to understand and provoking enough for lifelong Christains to interact with.
Simply put, this book is the Sermon on the Mount in step by step breakdown. In Skye Jethani’s book, “What if Jesus was Serious?; A Visual Guide to the Teachings of Jesus we Love to Ignore.”, he offers a strange proposition to Christian Culture and how we are raising our youth. What if the normal judgement that Christians take Jesus too seriously, which is why they are stereotyped as judgemental, is actually reversed. Skye proposes that Christian Culture does not take Jesus seriously enough-specifically the Sermon on the Mount- and that’s why the Church is portrayed so harshly in the media. He proposes that if we as Christians looked deeper into what Jesus preaches, we would find more love, kindness, and acceptance that Christains are stereotyped as showing. So to prove a point he wrote this book that breaks the Sermon on the Mount down into nine...

Laura: I found Skye Jethani from listening to the Holy Post Podcast, and have learned so much from his sound theology and down to earth, easy to understand applications for today's Christians. I bought this book as our church was going through the Sermon on the Mount, and this just added so much to my understanding. It's a quick easy read, and the doodles inside are great too.

Timothy H. Gill: This book may be more for teenagers, but adults could benefit from reading it as well. I love the approach.
