Sarah: I have a very clever and very tricky nephew to buy for. He has just started cooking as at university. He absolutely loved this cook book.
I felt like a proud auntie!!!!

Amazon Customer: Sort of along the lines of movie/tv themed cookbooks with more variety. The recipes aren't too hard to do, and the outcomes are interesting enough to do for a gathering or birthday party.

R. Lindey: Bought this for my "geeky" son who likes to cook. It has a nice variety of recipes from a mixture of geeky shows. I would agree with other reviews that there a few too many drink recipes and would have liked to see more food in their place. The recipes look tasty and I hope I get to sample some!

CocoCoco: So far every recipe has been delicious. The little blurbs about the recipe are fun and relatable. The pictures in the book don't match what the recipe actually tells you to do but the food is worth the slight deception.

Jenny: Arrived extremely fast and in great condition. It was a birthday gift for my husband and he loves it and so do I. I love the authors writing style and that she gives a background of the story or game it came from and how she came up with each recipe. All the recipes look easy to follow and are very customizable. Love that sge has a butter beer recipe from Harry Potter as a lot of the exclusively Harry Potter cook books I looked at didn't include that recipe. Can't wait to try the recipes out!

Colt-kunColt-kun: Uploaded photos to show all the fandoms and recipes in the book.
As you can see, the fandoms are really scattershot over several different venues. I was surprised the drinks section is about... A third? Of the book. And the larger portion is alcoholic. That was a let down as I was expecting food recipes.
But the ones included look awesome. Lots of them don't have a picture of the product, so you have to go off the ingredients. I really love the Zelda recipes and want to make all of them like the Elixir Soup, But if you're looking for Hunger Games or Game of Thrones or Harry Potter, I'd suggest buying those cookbooks because of the limited selection in this cookbook.
Rating: 3 stars. While it has a few unique recipes I love, like the Zelda soups and figgins, most of the recipes are popular enough you could find them online for free (peeta's cheesy rolls, sea salt ice cream, sansa's lemon cakes, etc) and the lack of photos for many of the recipes makes it hard to want to make them.

NikonWitch: The recipes include chocolate salty balls inspired by South Park, butter cakes inspired by Silent Hill. I plan on making my own Twinkies, I'll be using another recipe from the book inspired by Bioshock for Creme-filled cakes. I bought the book for my daughter's first cookbook for the new home she & her partner are moving into, he loves her cooking. Now, she can make geek food for him. Happy Geeks are wonderful.
This book is easy to follow, and there's something to be said for cook books, as opposed to online sites. Sometimes, it's wonderful to have a book. Being a tactile person, I like to hold my books.
I highly recommend this book for fellow Geeks, or those that have Geeks in their lives.

Braunziewife: This is a great book! Admittedly, I don't really consider myself a "geek" (much), I'm really not into science fiction (I tolerate it because I love my husband) and I'm really not part of the "gaming generation", but I LOVE cookbooks and LOVE cooking and trying new recipes. Cassandra Reeder has done a phenomenal job with this, sharing her passion in a creative, humorous, and unconventional way. So much so, I might have to consider getting more "geeky"! hahaha! The photos in the book are beautifully done, letting you see the end product in a very thematic way. Just reading the book is uplifting, and I haven't even tried any of the recipes yet. I've purchased many a cookbook that have left me disappointed once I have it my hands. This was quite the opposite. Can't wait to try the Lamb Stew with Plums, the Bowl O' Brown, the Dragonbreath Chili, Shawarma, and drink them down with some Klah, Butter Beer, Moloko Plus and maybe some Graf.. - as well as others... I can only imagine how much more enjoyable you'll find this book if you are more "geeky" and into fantasy and science fiction than I. I highly recommend it!
