MikiHope: This is the second novel I have read by this author who really brings to life the feeling of the times-the 1920's! I read "It Had to be You" first but it really isn't necessary--this book can definitely be read as a stand alone.

Trixie is a woman who is a working at a newspaper as a reporter--a woman in a man's field-at least back then. She is tenacious, curious and is extremely intuitive. Of course working with all these men (read-dare I write this-male chauvinist pigs of the first order)is no walk in the park. Couple that with the fact that the guy she is currently seeing is a policeman who really doesn't want her trying to figure out cases on her own-you have some pretty tense and some pretty funny moments. I did find myself laughing out loud more then once.

Will the reporter and the police officer ever get over their differences and become a verified couple? Will Trixie be able to exonerate her ex fiance from the allegation that he murdered his current wife? Will they finally figure out who done it? To find the answers--read the book--you really should enjoy this one!

Jacoco: I'm lucky enough to have taken Kristen Palana's online course of the same name, and have learned so much both in the course and in this book. What it's helped me achieve has been to set up an effective, targeted crowdfunding campaign for a refugee support group here in my small city in Germany, to understand how to communicate the goals of the campaign, to break projects down into bite-sized pieces and to stay positive! Kristen's writing style is so warm and personable, it's like she's sitting next to you, having a chat over a cup of tea, and imparting invaluable experience. Highly recommended for new crowdfunders.
