Seoca: This book explains everything you need to know about the health benefits of green smoothies. It has great recipes and explains that you need to give yourself time to get used to them. It is not hard to add at least one green smoothie a day to your diet to get started. Five minutes and a great blender are all you need to start improving your health!

Isela Muzquiz: I had recently started looking into green smoothies and I saw an ad for this book on the Amazing Discoveries channel online. So, i looked into it and saw some of the presentation videos on youtube and was eager to get this book and give it a try.
I do like how it explains the do's and don'ts of blending and what goes together and i like that it contained a lot of recipes. Most recipes, however require dandeliions which are not easy to find for me in my hometown...i'm sure they are around places, but i don't know much about how to best handle them. Excuse my ignorance with wild plants, but i didn't want to confuse it with different plants that should not be made for consumption.
I do have a lot of kale and spinach available however and have enjoyed some of the recipes. The only other thing i found a bit hard was that sometimes it measures spinach , for example, by cups or kale as well and then in other recipes it calls for number of the leaves. I don't know how to maesure kale and collard greens by cups except i chop them up, So, i improvise and eventually i just started making my own blends because i got tired of looking up a recipe each morning. I don't always have all...

MissMom: I've been saving up for a high speed blender forever (Blendtec), and when the time came to spend all my hard earned cash, I knew that I needed some motivation to actually use the the darn thing. Alas, Victoria's book. I've been wanting to go raw for a while but just couldn't do it, so my compromise was to drink green smoothies. The book was all that I expected and more. There are tonnes of delicious recipes to accommodate every palate including those of the 3 most finicky men in my life; my husband, my 6 and 4 year old sons. I also have a 10 month old daughter who gulps the green smoothies it out of a straw everday (I make on average 3 different smoothies a day). Three months and five hundred smoothies later, our family has benefited greatly from this book. We all feel healthier, and more energetic. Did I mention that I haven't caught a cold all winter?

Sluss: This is a wonderful and helpful book for me, and I have used Mrs. Boutenko's green smoothies for many months. Because the pollen season is upon us in Alaska, though, I find I must give up raw foods, for the most part.
I have celiac disease, and so the grass-pollinating season presents a difficulty for me. Celiacs have problems with all plants in the grass (Poaceae) family, which includes wheat, rye, oats, corn, barley, sorghum, triticale, kamut, wild rice, etc. While we can get away with eating a little corn or sorghum once in a blue moon if grass isn't pollinating outdoors, that is not the case when those little pollens are airborne! The symptoms not only include allergic reactions in the sinuses, asthma, and sore throats; but with some cereal grains, it also includes rheumatoid pains in the joints, high blood pressure, and other autoimmune diseases.
Not only celiacs, but also allergy sufferers cannot "go raw" during the seasons when certain plants are pollinating (unless they enjoy being sick). For celiacs, that means grass-pollinating season; and for others, that means the pollinating season for trees like birch or alder, or weeds like mugwort and ragweed. There...

Lacey Nash: Before I started incorporating green smoothies into my diet, I was a total junk food girl. I ate any and everything, my husband and I had this idea that we "needed" a dine out date each week. Well my mother-in-law introduced me to green smoothies and actually showed me how much it had improved her life. She was going through menopause and started loosing her hair after drinking 2 smoothies a day for a month now I have noticed not only a glow to her but her hair is actually getting thicker and shinier! After returning home I decided to research more of the "green smoothie" plan and read reviews on some books. 1, was Green Smoothie Revolution by Victoria Boutenko and 2, was Green Smoothies Diet by Robyn Openshaw (which was what my mother-in-law read). I decided to base my purchase off reviews and saw that Victoria had recieved great views on her book(s) and purchased Green Smoothie Revolution. I love this book!! I was so nervous to start, I was worried about incorporating all these ingriedients and produce. I just remember seeing about 6 items being thrown in a blender from my mother in law and thinking "How does this taste good?!". Well Victoria's motto that simple is enough is...

Tony: I heartily endorse Mimi's excellent review.
What I would like to do is share how I put the messages in the book into practice and trust that it will help potential buyers to purchase this book.
When I first came across this book I instinctively knew this was the path for me to follow to improve my general well being and restore my shaky health. I set out and bought a blender and then waited 2 weeks before using it. I was buying different fruits and greens - and they sat in my fridge.
Then one afternoon I decided to just make one; it was improvised but followed the idea of a chunky soup - salad greens, garlic, fresh ginger, 2 red chillies, 2 sticks of celery, roasted red peppers from a jar, a bunch of parsley, 2 large tomatoes and blitzed. At first it did not seem to blend then I added a cup of filtered tap water and then a second - that did the trick.
I have to say the results were amazing - a gorgeous melange of flavours. Satisfying and totally moreish.
I have not looked back since - neither will you once you take the plunge. I now plan what I am going to make each morning and then collect what I require from my local asian store. The recepies...
