bookfan: Bought this set to use with our newly converted wood-burning fireplace. Looks OK from a distance and has the pieces we need. A little concerned about the quality for the price. We kept it because we needed something immediately. When we come across a sturdier one that we can afford, we will likely replace it. For now it will due. I'm 50/50 on recommending it for these reasons.

C. Temple: Bought these tools when our really, really, REALLY old tools "died." I really love the bronze color as we have shades of brown, tan and bark decorative brick on our fireplace. They're sturdy pieces and I love the horseshoe handles and hooks that allow quick and easy access to each piece...a necessity when working with hot logs.
