Amazon Customer: This is a mini pocket sized booklet...the message is great, I loved the Case for Christ, but maybe this author and publisher is cashing in a bit too much...but it was cheap so oh well.

Barb Hegreberg: The Case for Christmas was written by bestselling author & pastor Lee Strobel. He also wrote The Case for Christ & The Case for Easter. I have heard him preach on numerous occasions when he was one of the pastors of Willow Creek. When I learned that Strobel would be hosting an online study of The Case for Christmas this year, I jumped at the chance to participate.
The study is set up like a small group with each week's video component available, starting on Monday (11/30) of each week. If you have never read one of Strobel’s books or experienced his preaching you are in for a treat. I don’t want to give too much away so I will just give the headings and the prayer for each week. NOTE: If you or anyone you know is “on the fence” about Biblical things, this is the perfect place to start!
Session 1 – Setting the Record Straight
Jesus, some of us already believe in you even if we’ve been confused or misdirected about the details of your incarnation. Some of us doubt the stories and aren’t sure what we think about history told in such an ancient Book. Help us to see the real you this season. Open our eyes...

Sam: Scholars who have spent years exploring some of the objections to Christianity provide Lee Strobel to his questions in this book in a down-to-earth way. A very interesting read for anyone, whether explorer or someone who already has faith in Christ. If we, as Christians, learn about at least some of the objections then this may provide a guiding light to those who seek answers from us. I probably will read this book more than once and also go and read the books those Scholars have written as I'm sure there's more fascinating things to find out about our King!

BookWormsTogether: I loved this book. In comparatively few pages, it says such a lot. In some of the final words the author summarises his own position - 'After spending nearly two years investigating the identity of the Christmas child, I was ready to reach a verdict. For me, the evidence was clear and compelling. Yes, Christmas is a holiday overlaid with all sorts of fanciful beliefs, from flying reindeer to Santa Claus sliding down chimneys. But I became convinced that if you drill down to its core, Christmas is based on a historical reality—the incarnation: God becoming man, Spirit taking on flesh, the infinite entering the finite, the eternal becoming time-bound. It’s a mystery backed up by facts that I now believed were simply too strong to ignore.' All this for just 49 pence!

Christy Bower: I’ve never actually read anything by Lee Strobel, although I’m familiar with his work, so I picked up a Kindle copy of The Case for Christmas for a short exposure to his writing. As expected, he is very scientific in his approach to “proving” the true identity of the baby in the manger. He interviewed some scholars in his quest for answers and this book provides a summary of the relevant findings through the interviews.
The style was readable and not too technical. He asked difficult, penetrating questions and the scholars gave honest, non-evasive answers. (Sometimes the best answer is “I don’t know” or “No one knows for sure.”) Still, Strobel highlights the various “ah-ha” moments he experienced as he gained new insights and perspective about Christ.
The findings in The Case for Christmas demonstrate how our faith isn’t just an emotional or intuitive belief, but it is founded on true events, verifiable facts, and can hold up to critical analysis. This would be a suitable gift for a not-yet Christian or for the analytical Christian who likes to have definite reasons and answers for what they believe. I enjoyed reading it and I look forward to...

JGomez: I think this is a section from one of his other books (The Case for christ) but i read it over Christmas and it really was great to read about the evidence for the christmas narrative in the gospels. This is a great book, i think the only negative bit is you may be able to get this within your copy of the aforementioned book.
Lee strobel is a fantastic and very well informed author, who goes to interview the experts on the subject. This book gives evidence to his reading of critics of Christian faith and he puts these people's critiques to the experts. So its useful for reading about the evidence but also for helping respond to certain criticisms

ArcaneCode: I work as a trainer and consultant in the field of Business Intelligence. As such I have a logical, analytical mind. I love to have facts that support the item I am studying. Mr Strobel does just that with this work.
It's the first of his books I've read, but it certainly won't be the last. I finished it early this morning, was so impressed I bought "Finding the Real Jesus: A Guide for Curious Christians and Skeptical Seekers" and am just about done with it, next on my list will be "The Case for Christ".
I love the interview process he does in the book, I feel like I am there in the room with the expert. Lee is asking the very types of questions I've always wanted to ask. The answers are laid out clearly, with supporting evidence and facts.
There are some reviewers who have given this book a low rating as Mr Strobel fails to present "both sides of the argument". As another reviewer so aptly pointed out, the books in this series are entitled "The Case FOR..." There is no intention of presenting a balanced view, but to provide evidence to support Lee's assertions about Jesus Christ. Any individual who bought the book expecting such a balance missed the premise...
