VJP: To go out of the limb and share this information to the world is a true superhero. With big corporations that can put an aim on you...I'm very respectful to Vani for putthing this out!

Firefly9: This book, should be a must read for everyone interested in health! I thought I was eating quite healthy. After reading this book, I was horrified to learn that the same products sold here in the USA, are sold in the UK without the same dangerous ingredients! Apparently, their government cares more about their peoples health than does ours! After reading this book, I went to my pantry and began to read the ingredients! I grew up on Campbell soup, and have used it as a base for many dishes. I always thought it was healthy. Well apparently it has mono sodium glutamate, high fructose corn syrup, just to name a few! Checked everything in my cupboard from salsa to salad dressings, and unless it is labeled organic, you are getting toxins in everything! Artificial flavors and artificial colors are in a majority of my food! My name brand relish has Xanthan Gum, Calcium Chloride, and Carmel color (Really!)
I try to avoid GMO food as much as possible, which is difficult since the industry stopped the labeling of GMO’s from becoming mandatory. I do know that Canola Oil is a GMO product, as well as Hi fructose corn syrup, and These ingredients are pretty much in most products, as well as...

Collette Yvonne: I wish wish wish that this book came out 30 years ago before my digestion got utterly ruined by eating a host of processed foods that I actually thought were perfectly safe and even healthy. I thought my diet was healthy because of slick marketing. The truth was buried under a barrage of claims like "heart healthy" and "healthy choice" etc. Now I realize I have unwittingly (and too trustingly) consumed a ton of toxic food dyes, glyphosate residues, dangerous trans fats, risky preservatives, and questionable additives over the years. The cumulative toxic load has resulted in multiple health problems for me and my family.

Now I eat cleanly to avoid further damage and to rebuild my digestive tract. Vani Hari's book is a blueprint for me to make sure I am doing it right, at last. I learned so much from Hari when I thought I knew a lot already. Turns out the food industry is a tricky beast and they simply aren't putting our health first. Turns out that sales numbers and bottom lines are the most important thing to corporations and, to them, we are simply sheepish consumers who can be led down the garden path.

Who knew that natural flavours are anything but natural in the...

M. R. Randazzo: I follow the Food Babe newsletter and use some of the information to make better food purchases especially to decide on which to buy. Labels on foods are very misleading unless you know how to read them and it doesn't help that there are ingredients that aren't food in the product. I started reading labels when I noticed certain foods were my gut problems after eating them for years. I noticed differently unusual ingredients that weren't there before and found out those ingredients were causing my gut reactions. As soon as I eliminated these products (mostly processed foods), I had no reaction to the foods and felt better for doing this. Doing this made me make better food choices, starting with dairy products, which I know I have a lactose intolerance form aging so I switched to nut kinds of milk which don't have lactose but had to read those labels carefully because of the gum additives (carrageenans, xantham gum, etc) which can cause similar effects. I am now trying A2milks which have no lactose and just filtered pasteurized milk. I wish they would make smaller containers for us single people who would only need a quart or pint size as I don't add milk to coffee which was where...

G. Reagon: This is a great book that informs people about the deception that is taking place in our food industry, agriculture industry, medical/science industry and within our government about the chemicals, additives and preservatives that is in our food here in the United States. If there is one thing you can believe, they all do it to increase their profit margins and they do not genuinely care about the health of the people they sell their products to.

Although, I didn’t need to read this book to know this was happening to us consumers, I’ve known about this for a few couple years now. It’s not hard to put two and two together to see the correlation between the increase in pesticides and the chemicals used in our foods as why our country has a sever overweight and obesity problem or why we see an insane increase in people getting cancer and other illnesses that were not that common just 30+ years ago. These cancers and illnesses didn’t just form out of nowhere for no reason. There is one consistent scenario we can trace this epidemic back to, and that’s the crap that is being put in our food.

As for myself, I changed my food intake about 2 years ago and now eat...

Cheryl C.: I loved Vani's honest, no nonsense book. What we eat is a Very clear example of when ignorance leads to BAD health - NOT bliss. This is evidenced by the number of consumers who continue to support the big Fast Food and Processed Food companies to the detriment of their health. We need people like Vani and her book "Feeding You Lies" to realize WE need to educate ourselves and learn to make smart choices for the benefit of our own health and that of our families. Hats off to Vani for having the guts to stick up to the Big Food and Big Agra bullies and tell the Truth!!!
