ChrisChris: SO GLAD I ordered this book! Over 350 pages of in-depth info on cannabis… With a couple jokes mixed it. The pages are thick-enough so my highlighter colors don’t bleed through onto the same/next page.

I’m planning a career change into the industry, so this is incredibly helpful!

Zachary RodawoldZachary Rodawold: Literally best book I have ever bought and best book ever written, in my opinion. Some of you may think, “no way” but actually open the book up and read it. I promise you it knows all!! It not only tells you how to start up a cannabis business/gives you tips and pointers but it also talks about: dispensaries, laws, proper licensing/fees/ equipment, ratio’s, medical conditions, edibles and/recipes, and so much more. When I first opened it up and saw how many pages there were in the table of contents, I was like “are you kidding me……..oh wow”!!! Highly recommend this book! Shout out to author (:

Caryjohnson: As a recent transplant to Colorado, this book may be as essential as a McNallys street map! Cannibis is becoming embedded culture here, and the terminology knowledge alone is worth the price. And it's so much more than that. You'll go as shallow into the cannibis world as you like, or equally as deep. A true primer into a world that is growing nationwide. The authors nail it on every level. A must have.

Margaret7: There is so much conflicting information out there at the moment about Cannabis and its medicinal uses, it is nigh-on impossible to sort the wheat from the chaff. This book from the 'for Dummies' publishers is a great source of interesting and clear information about cannabis and all its incarnations and uses. Of course it is US-based so the legal stuff and the business section are not relevant for the UK, but for me the rest of the info has been very useful. I've tried CBD oil in the past, one that I purchased from a well-known online store, and it had no effect on the pain I wanted to manage. This book explains why, and has been so helpful in pointing me in the right direction for effective help. Like all the 'for Dummies' books it is well organised, clear and very easy to read and understand.

sulkycat: Most important - before thinking about setting yourself up as a one man pot growing dealership, please bear in mind that this is an American book! Rather different laws. Really. I am not coming to visit you in the clink with a file baked inside a cake. Nope.

I ordered this because I am sick of being in pain (rheumatoid arthritis, fibro, all sorts). I cannot fault my medical teams, they are absolutely brilliant, but 8 years from being diagnosed there has only been one drug which makes any difference, and that of course is so powerful that it has toxic side effects galore.
For years friends have said try a joint, or brownies, or something, even to relieve the pain for a few hours when it is at its worst. What can I say, I was an art student in the 80s, I am not a total innocent. But I don't smoke, and don't want to smoke.

Now that the benefits of cannabis for medical reasons is becoming such a talking point, I have looked at various legal versions, but I think I must be getting old and dull because I can't quite work out what is actually worth buying and what is just snake oil.
So this book , in the good old Dummies stylie, seems pretty good for getting an up to...

Vicuña: I chose this book because I’m interested in the medicinal use of cannabis for chronic pain relief. There’s very little medical evidence, a lot of anecdotal evidence and it’s difficult to get informed advice from a GP or the pharmacist as it’s not ‘approved’.

This book is targeted for an American readership, but that said, there’s an incredible amount of advice. Clearly, in the UK, growing your own is likely to lead to breaking the law, but attitudes are changing.

As expected with the Dummies series, it’s clearly laid out and it’s proved to be a genuinely fascinating read. The possible health benefits are set out, including sections on arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraine and many other conditions. Obviously it’s only general guidance, but it seems informed and is balanced by warnings of potential side effects and what to look for.

Much of the content is inappropriate for the UK as it’s not legal to grow the plant here, but within the detailed chapters about how to raise cannabis plants and turn it into a business, there’s loads of information about the plant. There are straightforward explanations about the chemical components of the plant...

gejome: I certainly didn't buy this book with any preconceived ideas that the question as to whether Pot is absolutely safe or absolutely harmful to use ? In my opinion, a definitive answer to that question will never be forth coming ? The strength of the product, the frequency of indulgence, perhaps the age of the users will produce different results for different groups of people. ? . The Authors have done just about as good of a job in writing this book, as that which could be done by any persons. For users of Pot it may provide interesting reading, but doesn't provide information above what they already know ! For those potential, first time new users, Should you or should you not ? That's a personal and private question that can only be individually answered. Maybe this book will help you decide ?

Sandy: I bought this book because I heard that cannabis products have potential health benefits.
If I’m going to use something to treat a health issue I certainly want to know all about it.
The book answers the questions I had completely and understandably.
It was easy to find what I wanted to know without reading everything but I found it so interesting
and easy to follow that I wound up reading the book from cover to cover.

The author is obviously an expert on all aspects of Cannabis as well as an excellent writer.
I found this book was very helpful.
