XJ-13: This version of Beyond Buds is much better than the original. More in depth science and a much better, easier on the eye format. Great book on extracts & concentrates, more than exceeded my expectations.

Paulina Ramírez: Hay cosas que el libro enseña cosas extras, pero mucho del libro son cosas que en google ya había visto… le falta mas contenido exclusivo

Chris Morales: Love how easy this book is to understand and how everything is broken down. Do not get upset with how repetitive this book gets sometimes as it is a beginners book. Everyone names their “oils” something different, well this book really takes the time to explain the subtle differences between different types of “oils” and the processes/machinery used to extract them. Great book for someone looking to clarify their knowledge of oil based extracts and processes. This book is not a recipe book for making “oils”.

Lindsey: I was looking forward to this book because of the reviews, but somewhat disappointed that at least some information is inaccurate due to poor editing. In the chapter on homemade edibles (page 240) it instructs users to decarboxylate cannabis in an oven at 140 Fahrenheit (60 Celsius) for 30-40 minutes. The correct temperature for decarboxylation is 222 Fahrenheit (most authorities give a range between 220-250 F). This is only one example, but it makes me second guess what else is incorrect.
Also, some of the "Company Spotlights" read like ads.
It is an impressive looking book with nice pictures and mainly accurate information, lots of which I have never read anywhere else.

Kirk Anderson: Been very familiar with using Ed's advice columns and books for many decades. 2018 Beyond buds has brought me from old style cannabis into the 21st century. The end products confusing enough but this book helps bring you from hash to concentrates. He relates how in general to make these new concentrates which in general helps me understand the pros and cons of each finish material.
As with his other books as I read it a second and a third time I caught more and more things that I missed.
I would call this essential reading for anybody where cannabis is becoming legal weather medical or recreational.

Toadjuggler: A book by the great Ed Rosenthal: what more needs to be said? Full of stunning photography and all of the info on concentrates, extracts and edibles you could ever need in one place, presented with Ed's inimitable style and good humour. Slight niggle (hence only four stars) over the way some companies and products seem to be being almost advertised and very many more just not being mentioned, but I guess that's just reciprocity for giving Ed access. On the whole a very good, reasonably complete book on a pretty new subject: recommended.
