Drew: A lightening strike near my home fried my old opener.

Picked this unit as it's replacement. Very happy with the selection. Felt it was the best choice due to the options, features and price.

The unit is powerful and quiet. Comes with a remote keypad, a battery backup, wifi enabled and a smart app.

I can check the status and operate this door remotely. The battery backup is nice too have if you live in an area with blackouts. That way you can get in and out if necessary.

My unit came with a bad control board that wouldn't go until wifi config mode. It worked for normal operating, just not wifi.

Working with tech support was easy. They determined that a new board was needed. Sent out a replacement and I was able to replace without taking down the installed opener.

Once replaced, wifi was configured and remote access enabled. Easy peasy.

Now I receive notifications on my phone whenever the door is opened or closed. Nice feature.

It also integrates with Google home and Alexa. Another nice feature.

jsflawjsflaw: I bought this to replace the existing garage door opener that was having problems (different manufacturer). I followed the instruction video and did the install myself. Install was pretty easy (I will add that it was easy because I was using the existing wall attachment, and the door attachment from the old system). First time installing a garage door opener by myself. If I had to figure out the installation of the wall attachment and the door attachment, I suspect the install would have been slightly more complicated. I did have to move the ceiling attachment from where my old opener hung, but that was easy. I installed this a couple months ago, and I think it took two or three hours to install if I recall correctly. The opener works great. The wireless exterior keypad works great. The included garage door openers for your car work great and from a greater distance than my old system. I have it connected to Wi-Fi and am able to control it through the app as well as through Siri voice commands, which is nice if your hands are full. I highly recommend this device.

George Steinsky: Ordered two units for the garage in our new home. Got one unit installed fairly easily. The second unit, however, constantly tripped the breaker. Customer Service person was trying to convince me that the 15 amp circuit powering the two doors was not sufficient and that you need a 20 Amp circuit to power two doors (my electrician laughed at me!) After much whining and complaining they decided to send me a new circuit board. This did not fix the issue.

Had to pay professional to come look. Turns out that the person that assembled the unit crimped a lamp wire between a screw and the motor housing. Not sure how something can leave a factory like that in this day and age.

All told a very frustrating experience and would suggrest you look at another opener brand.

Carter Clough: I had a company install this which he completed in 45 minutes - I, on the other hand, would have taken lots of hours with a F* Ton of frustration. It replaces a 30+ year Craftsman which refused to die though the wall pad pooped out 10 years ago and the remotes bit the dust 5 years ago and the chain drive was LOUD. I purchased two Torchstar led bulbs off of Amazon and they are working without any interference. The Aladdin app was a breeze and Alexa integration was smooth too. The best thing though is this opener is so dang quiet. Other than the garage, anywhere else in the house you can not hear it.

Myrtle Saldanha: I installed it myself (Lew) and things went quite well. It is a very quiet working model. I was dissapointed to learn that the light bulbs were a special LED design. Ordinary LED light bulbs would cause an intereference with the remote signal. Why did I have to order the bulbs separately ??? Why couldn't it have been included with the garage door opener ? The garage door opener was fairly expensive and could have included the 2 bulbs. Anyways I have registered the product with the manufacturer and hope it lasts a long time. The Craftsman garage door opener that was replaced by the Genie lasted me 30 yrs +. Thanks for the quick delivery.

It will handle single or double doors. Two doors require two openers. This model includes the ability to check door status and operate the doors remotely via Wi-Fi. It's compatible with Homelink, the most popular vehicle remote integration, and Car2U, if your car uses that. It's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant so you can talk to your openers, too.

The opener is very quiet, emitting only a gentle whine while operating. The noise you hear is largely determined by the door itself, so you should make sure your door is lubricated to reduce any squeaks. The rollers will still rattle in the tracks, and the hinges will make some noise, too. They say you can reduce the roller noise by trading out your metal rollers for nylon ones, but I've not tried that. Bottom line, if you're coming from an old Craftsman chain drive as I was, the noise reduction is striking.

Ron Pouliot: THE PRODUCT CAME WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED AND THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY GOOD ALSO. I DID HAVE TO U-TUBE HOW TO PROGRAM THE GARAGE DOOR PAD BUT IT WENT WELL ALSO. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS WHEN YOU ENTER THE GARAGE THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A SENSOR THAT NOTICES MOVEMENT AND TURNS THE LIGHT ON AUTOMATICALLY. MY OLD OPENER HAD THAT OPTION AND IT WAS USEFUL. ALSO I STILL HAVE AN ISSUE OF WHEN THE DOOR IS OPENED OR CLOSED ONE OF THE LIGHTS KEEPS BLINKING. I HAVEN'T WORKED OUT ALL THE BUGS YET BUT OVERALL VERY HAPPY. DOOR OPENS VERY QUIETLY.
