こういうマッチ自体は昔からあるので「新たな選択肢」というのも変かもですが、ファイアースターターでの着火が難しい状況では普通にライターやトーチを使ってたけど、このマッチを火種に焚き火を育てるのも味がありそうです。
炭への着火はこれだけでは無理があるので、これで小さい焚き火を作ってそこに炭をくべる、という方が無難かと。
側薬は普通のマッチのように箱の横に貼り付けてある訳ではなく箱の中に入ってます。
多分この側薬はあまり耐水性は無いと思うので、袋に入れて保管、ですかね。

The Sweet Fire fire starters are the best fire starters I’ve ever used. These are FAR better than cotton balls soaked in Vaseline or any other goofy homemade system. They come wrapped as 4 packs with ultralight strikers for weight considerations while backpacking and consistently and easily start fires in even adverse conditions. They say they’ll burn for 7 minutes on their own but I’ve never needed that long to get a fire going. Highly recommended.
