Jackie: These are my favorite authors. They make a fantasy book come to life. Not just a good romance book but they have a way of fleshing out the world and make it feel real. They write the best Enemies to lovers, every time.

Cliente Kindle: A história caminha por lugares antes não explorados. Tem um desfecho utilizando a base da história original bem diferente e foi muito bom.

Kylie C: This book wasn’t what I expected, but it’s so good. A lot of darkness and sadness, but it is well told and a fresh respinning of one of my favorite fairytales. I didn’t expect it to be part of a series- so just be aware that the ending of the book is not the end of the story. Not necessarily a cliffhanger, but the story has to be continued in a second book. Which I’m going to read right now.

Beth M: I just finished another series by these two author’s, which I absolutely LOVED, so was excited to read more from them. I enjoyed this book, but it was a slow starter. I almost gave up, but finally by about half way thru the storyline finally picked up. I expected more action and a deeper storyline, but it took awhile for the story/characters to come alive in this book. The “cryptic” ending to each chapter was designed, I suppose, to be enhance the mystery & keep you wanting more, but in reality it just got a bit monotonous. I found myself becoming a bit bored with the end of chapter “hook” each time. But, as I said, the story does pick up & the characters evolve once you push past the first half of the book. I will read the next book in the series and hope I end up loving it as much as their other series.

This would be the first beauty and the beast retelling I have read and I am amazed at all the intricacies, the twists and turns in the plot, to the point I really feel like I need to go back and re-read this book as I felt I went through this book too quickly. The depths the villain is seeped into the plot is shocking and took me by surprise, and with everything the main female character has gone through and to the extent our other main character as well, I am looking forwards to reading her downfall for all the pain she has caused. I was literally tearing up by the end of the book for all of the misunderstandings - and all of the good byes - that are going to happen because she basically was forced to betray him even though she is in love with him. I feel like she is planning something a bit different than what she was told to do, as even though she did take the rose, I think she is going to find a way to heal his people. That is the sense of what I got despite her intentions not being exactly clear of what she is planning on doing. I don't exactly get why she doesn't just fake it with pretending she stole the real rose and gives back the fake one, unless there...

Madhur Mehta: Man this book is out of the world. It takes the reader through an emotional journey. It explores dark pasts of the characters in the most sensitive manner.
Even though it’s a classic enemies to lovers romance, but still what kept me hooked was the plot.
I loved how the relationship between Einar and Zaina starts with both of them slowly understanding each other and gaining each other’s trust. The writers have given their characters time to build an amazing relationship. Further, the unfurling of Zaina’s past was done in a very commendable manner. As a reader I understood the characters well after reading about their pasts. Both Einar and Zaina hold secrets and lived a dark past. But that’s what makes them into the individuals they are today.
The characters are well rounded and relatable. You fell sympathetic for them. They manner in which difficult subjects like abuse are handled in this book is amazing.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series. And would highly recommend it to every beauty and the beast re-telling lovers out there.
