I love the 12 plugs on this unit but I didn't see any opening to change the battery when it will die (eventually).
Overall I would recommend it for sure!

Very easy to install. Works on OSX 10.9 Mavericks. Nothing needs to be install. Just go to the energy preferences. A Mid-2011 23 inch iMac and a 23 inch dell LED LCD monitor will last around 20 minutes on this UPS.

Great unit. I've been a long time Tripp lite fan. They have excellent customer service and build quality with their surge units especially their top of the line Isobar series. This is my first UPS from them. Glad I got it. Hefty build with heavy duty plastic exterior. It has a nice LCD display that shows voltage in and out, watts used, load percentage, and run time. It has an audible alarm when running on battery which you can set to be silent.
I use this to power a late 2012 27" iMac with i7 Core (running Mountain Lion), ATT Uverse Gateway, Lacie external hard drive, and USB 3.0 Hub attached to the powered outlets. For a brand new unit, I can get 40 min runtime (with 5 min to spare) running my iMac, gateway and USB hub with average draw of about 70-80 watts (I am doing generic surfing of internet and email NOT high CPU usage tasks like video conversion or playing graphic intensive video games). The runtime indicator is pretty accurate in forecasting remaining time.
My Mac recognized my UPS immediately when connected via the USB cable. I was able to use the basic Mac energy saver settings to adjust sleep and auto shut down features and the UPS...

I have a desktop computer that is having a hard drive issue whenever there is a surge or drop in power. Due to some minor storms in the area where I live, the power had gone off just long enough to "kill" my computer. The past two times I have been able to get it started again after some effort, but knew I needed a UPS to keep the computer on in these cases when the power went off for a few seconds. This UPS unit has been great - has kept my computer up and running during minor surge issues. We have not had a major storm with the power going off for a longer time, but I have confidence this unit will work right through that time and at least allow me a chance to shut down the computer correctly. I also like the green light - it's easy to see even from a short distance. I have not experienced any "sound" issues like some of the other reviewers. My unit is quiet and efficient.

After all the money I burned buying the "big name" APC brand power supplies. All the problems I had with APC, all the times their customer service blew me off. So I started using CyberPower and this Tripp Lite. These are smaller and lighter than their full sized counterparts but they are perfect for providing a backup power supply for your DVR (for example). Don't you hate it when you are out of the house, the power to your home goes off for a few minutes and you lose the show (or a good chunk of the TV show) you had set to record. This is pretty cheap peace of mind and plenty of reserve power to keep that high def DVR going for a very long time.
This model has a nice little window display on the top that can be set to show you any number of different informational items but I leave mine set to show how much wattage I have loaded onto the unit. My High Def DVR is, I see. drawing only 11 watts. So it is see you don't need big expensive units to back up most stuff around the house. My office phone needs a 110 volt power supply to fully function, so I've plugged that into this unit also. Essentially no measurable power draw (or not enough power draw)...
