Maria Franciskato: This is a robust battery backup. The detachable faceplate makes monitoring very convenient.

C Hen.: I purchased this unit to plug my Mini X+ TrueNAS Core system in for the random power flicker that we get being on the Texas power grid. Plugged it into power, plugged my system into the Battery + Surge power port and connected the USB to my system and configured the driver within TrueNAS for it and instantly it was detected and it shows me the estimated battery runtime in the system information.

Highly recommend this system if you need the amount of power it will supply. I needed it for mostly power flicker but I have over 300 minutes of run-time.

Just be prepared for the weight.

Leo J. Schick Jr.: I moved to Florida two years ago and didn’t realize how many thunderstorms happen in my area. I needed to protect my computers and peripheral equipment. We get a lot of momentary interruptions in power, which is deadly for computers and hard drives. 30 minutes after installing my UPS, we had a momentary interruption in power, and the UPS took over and my computer equipment kept operating without any problems. This was the best investment I ever made for protection of my computer systems.

elvisceraelviscera: The packaging is made of very flimsy Styrofoam and was broken upon receipt (no doubt dropped). There was also a loose fastener inside the UPS chassis and a bent bracket. I had to remove the cover to find the loose fastener and also to discover and repair the bent bracket. If the packing materials were of better quality the bracket might not have been bent though there would still have been a loose fastener which was not the fault of the shipping.

The UPS came with nearly topped up batteries and did work after the repair. I tested it with my game rig using the OCCT power stress test. In this mode the system draw is about 1140W which the supply was able to deliver with the power mains active. This may not seem like a big deal but a similarly spec'd UPS version could not not deliver that amount of wattage.

It is claimed that this UPS can deliver 1500W but the max VA is 1500VA so it would only deliver all that VA as watts if the load has a power factor of 1.0. I have a watt meter that monitors the load (between the UPS and the game rig) which shows that the power factor is about 0.99 so that would argue for a delivered power of 1500*0.99 = 1485W which is more than I...

Neil Isenberg: This review is for: CyberPower PR750LCD 525W UPS

OVERVIEW:
-----------

The home and small office UPS models we'll compare are:

- APC: SMT750, SMT1000
- APC: SMC1000, SMC1500
- CyberPower: CP850PFCLCD, CP1000PFCLCD, CP1350PFCLCD
- CyberPower: PR750LCD, PR1000LCD, PR1500LCD

These all:

(A) KEEP ELECTRICITY GOING DURING A BLACKOUT and give a computer TIME TO SAFELY AUTO-SHUTDOWN.

(B) Produce a PURE SINE WAVE to work with power supplies with Active PFC, like those on most Apple Macs, lots of newer windows PCs, etc.

(C) Cost in the low hundreds, so we avoid server room type features like zero transfer time, external batteries, etc.

We'll compare:
- How long things run during a blackout (RUNTIME)
- The WATTS they handle
- NOISE
- OUTLET COUNT and how many have battery power

We'll also compare:
- AVR CAPABILITY including BOOST and TRIM (explained later)
- RECHARGE TIME
- Size, cord length, other

Okay, let's get started, I'm looking for two that are quiet, can shutdown Window PCs and Macs safely, have good runtime, and some other things.
