JMed: I don't don't know anything about creatine, and have worked out for decades (martial arts). I'm a little older now, and my recovery is not as good as it used to be. KMK: On the days I don’t workout, wanted something easy to take instead of making smoothies with the powder. Definitely love the convenience and it’s made of quality creatine. Have already seen results after a few weeks. Only down fall is the pills are very large! So if you have trouble swallowing pills this one isn’t for you! But I did like how the quantity is only four versus the 5-7 a lot of the other brands are.

Chele: I'd been wanting to try tri-phase creatine for a while and I think this one time will be the last time.
Unlike Creatine Monohydrate that is flavorless, this tri-phase creatine has a strong sour taste (think, sour milk). I know, I know.... its doesn't matter because you swallow these whole. BUT they are huge, so its more complicated.
You swallow these elephants whole and while they are dissolving in your digestive track, you get this peculiar sour taste in your mouth. Its a bit like rancid milk or when you do a long fast and your stomach acids are upset screaming for nourishment (sour rancid taste - gastric in nature). Makes your mouth feel dirty; you want to brush your teeth constantly.
I would have thought this after taste was just from hunger pangs since I don't eat in the morning before exercise. HOWEVER, since these pills are so big (and believing they would be flavorless) I tried chewing them and also letting them dissolve in liquid. NOPE. The taste too gross to manage.
Pointing being, this is how I KNOW that horrible after taste is just the pill as it dissolves whole in the digestive track. Same rancid taste. Were it not for the chewing...
