I began when configuring my new theater room for Alexa control of lighting and power for theater chairs. This expanded to use elsewhere in the house for lighting control, including these switchable outlets. After a couple of years of use I started having issues with the set staying connected and re-connecting. I contacted customer service who assisted with troubleshooting. When this was not successful they quickly offered a free replacement. The replacements are all working as expected. I really appreciate dealing with companies who stand behind their products.

ComputerGuy: I bought this to turn my espresso machine on remotely. I have read many reviews that said it does not connect right away or at all. Here is what worked for me right away: I plugged in the plug and it blinked red. I opened the App "Smartlife" (not treadlife). It immediately saw a new device. Your phone needs to me connected to your 2.4G wifi not your 5G. I have 2.4G and 5G separate. The plug only works with 2.4 and it uses the one your phone is connected to. Enter your password for your wifi and it connected.
I switched my phone back to 5G wifi. I had Alexa search for a new device and it was found. All done.
"Alexa turn on coffee" now works like a charm.

Martin: Using these for lights and often, at random, one of the lights power off for no apparent reason.

D. Shinn: I’m not 100% happy with this product because the directions it comes with advise using a different remote than the Alexa app. I’m not a big fan of juggling remotes. If there’s another solution or explanation, I’d be happy to hear it.

Jacob: I tried and failed to set up these plugs with the Treatlife app. I spent about an hour attempting to get it to work. After checking reviews I seen someone mentioned Smart Life. I teied that app and it worked first shot no issue. Even linking the account with Alexa was super easy. They work well. I will likely be buying more

G.: The plugs are a great physical shape, easy to move around and access the built in power switch. A number of other round designs look cool, but have been hard to work with. Note that with these, I could not put them side by side on a power bar, they are just a bit too wide, so you will lose a slot.
Connecting them was fast, and they have an excellent response time to Alexa. HOWEVER, I found that I could not get the manufacturer's suggested app from Treatlife to work. Issues with creating an account, logging in, it was very frustrating. I decided to try connecting the plugs through another app called Smart Life (which my Alexa was already connected to) and that app found the plugs and installed them very quickly.

MikeS: My Treatlife wall plugs work and my wife especially likes them. She says she loves walking out of the bedroom in the early morning and finds the living room and den lit up. The scheduler and timer is the thing that we both like. However, getting the plugs into the network was not easy.
The supposedly easy directions to get the plugs found and on the network were neither easy nor clear. I believe that the only reason I got mine on the network is because I refused to be bested by a programmable wall socket. The problems that I found with the directions follow:
1. There were no directions about finding the reset switch
2. The time to hold the reset switch to get the item reset was much longer than printed in the instructions
3. The sequence of instructions to add the device to the network was not correct.
I kept playing with the devices to get them recognized by the network until I got them on teh network. I had four wall plugs and they had to be independently added to the network. The sequence of events to get each one on the network was a little different. However, once I got each of them on the network, they have worked without issue since then. The...

EbsAdvocatEbsAdvocat: Full disclosure: I was offered a free set of bulbs for leaving a review. Honestly though, I would give these a 5, but I'm giving a 4 because of the coerced review promotion. I bought another less expensive round set of plugs by Zoozee, but returned them because you couldn't stack plug 2 of them into an outlet or use 1 with a 2nd larger adapter. You can stack 2 of the Treatlife into a receptacle easily and plug larger adapters like the Google Home adapter together into an outlet. Plugs are good quality, has a good set of features and a good price of $37 (not the cheapest on Amazon). Setup was faster than 4 other brands I have. Simply plugged in the plug and did an auto detect with the Tuya app very quickly. Works perfectly so far. Even using one outside in a weather protected plug to control Christmas lights in freezing temperatures. I would buy these again.

Baz: It took a few tries before I got the Treatlife app paired with the plug. Make sure WiFi is set to 2.4GHz and your Bluetooth is switched on when setting up with your cell phone. After a few tries, I figured it out and paired it with my Amazon Echo as well. Seems to work very reliably with Alexa voice as well as switching it on and off using the Alexa or Treatlife apps. You don't actually need anything except the cell phone and app to remotely switch the plug. After it was paired I switched my phone's WiFi back to 5GHz and it still worked fine. It's nice that you can change the name to anything you want so right now I have 3 of them set up - Plug 1, Plug 2, and Plug 3. Easy to remember.
FYI - Plug 1 is the Amazon brand and setting it up was INSTANTANEOUS! I just basically plugged it in and Alexa found it and it started working. No setup required. Very slick. I got it on Prime Day at a great price but was limited to one unit so I bought the other ones as well. Except for a little more work setting them up, they seem to work just as well and have a great 1800W capacity. They are nicely made and leaves the second plug easily accessible.
Highly recommended especially at the price...

James J.: I had such a difficult time connecting (and maintaining that connection) with other brands of smart plugs and switches. I have a lot of Treatlife smart lights and bulbs in my house and decided to get a set of Treatlife plugs to see if I could ease my difficulties with smart plugs. The new Treatlife plugs set up as easy as pie and are working great. Couldn't ask for easier devices. Highly recommended!
