Andrew: I have several Palawell dimmers like this one before, and this is my 2nd 350w item. They all seem to work ok, but after cutting an old failed unit open after about 1yr use, it seems they are not water-proof enough. They really need to be epoxy encapsulated. The inside will eventually pull in moisture as temp swings outside and the electronics get warm and then cool, and then eventually that water moisture destroys the electronics inside. When it's new, all the features work ok.

Edit: FYI, this item is the short plug version. It's too short when used in those covered in-use outdoor receptacle outlets, this item wants to hang vs laying flat on the ground. I had to splice in a longer plug because of this issue. At one point Palawell had same 350w unit with the longer plug on it.

H. Munro: Have only used the dimmer a couple of times but seems to work well. Great to have flexibility with lighting levels. Our lights were too bright for relaxing in the evenings and now we can change them easily to different levels depending on what we are in the mood for. Great addition.

They were determined to solve my issues and I now have the perfect outside retreat that I use every night. I couldn’t have asked for more. Again, the customer service was above and beyond. SNC: it was very easy to connect it to the lights and it worked really well for the first month. However, the dimming function stopped working after 4 weeks and now the lights are either full bright (ON) or OFF. Is there a reset or something that can be done to return the proaction to functioning properly? Thanks.

Update:
Within days of writing this
Review the seller reached out to me asking me to see if I wanted refund or replacement. I told them that u was going to replace their dimmer with a different dimmer but once I unplugged it and plugged it back in (just to try it), the dimmer functions started to work. So not sure what is/was wrong with it but the dimmer is back working for now

Jonathan McCann: I bought several of these for my house to control my string lights I have. Unfortunately, the remote works so well that when I try to turn one set of lights on/off, it turns them all on/off in different rooms. It appears the remotes all use the same frequency. Even with the door closed facing the opposite direction, it will still pick up the signal down the hallway in other rooms. So basically, if you are only using this product for 1 set of lights then I highly recommend, but if you have multiple sets of independent lights in different rooms then I do not recommend.
