Jason M. WillisJason M. Willis: I have used TP Link for a few items and been impressed. This USB WIFI device fits into the USB port and has an extension cord so you can get better reception. I take this one with me to Hotels so I can have the best range. Good value. I recommend it. No problems so far.

Marty: Works well at 5ghz with the native driver from Win10 when plugged in.
When I download the software from TPLink and install their driver, it only goes 2.4ghz and is slow. I had to roll back the driver to the native Win10 driver and it was 5ghz and fast. Silly, but there ya go.

cristi: My grandson needed something for his gaming pc. Doing a little research I landed on the TP wifi. He loves it and his dad does too. When hubby asked me to find wifi dongles for the shop I had him order these. He ordered 5 of the units. All are in perfect working order. The computer guy that designed the shop program lives in another state. He was unsure about the quality until he had to log into the system. He really likes the speed of how these little units work. Hubby loves the fact all he had to do was plug it in and it was ready.

Philbert Ang: Necesitaba un adaptador USB Wi-Fi después de experimentar interrupciones y problemas de "pantalla azul de la muerte" con mi computadora portátil HP de casi 8 años. HP ya no admite el adaptador Wi-Fi incorporado desde hace varios años, por lo que su controlador no es estable en el sistema operativo Windows 10 desde hace bastante tiempo. Al ser un dispositivo USB 3.0, su rendimiento de datos no es tan rápido como, por ejemplo, el conector de entrada LAN, pero será suficiente para la transmisión básica de videos, la navegación web y el uso del correo electrónico. La transmisión de vídeo de 1080p provoca tartamudeos de vez en cuando, pero puedo vivir con eso en esta vieja computadora portátil. Al menos, la conexión wifi ha sido estable. Se ha tropezado un par de veces pero se ha vuelto a conectar rápidamente.

Glen Reynolds: The TP-Link arrived the next day and was SUPER easy to install. I plugged it into my USB port, downloaded the software (comes with a CD, but didn't use it) from the TP-Link website. You do need to know which version of product you have as there are (3) versions listed and they aren't compatible. Ran setup, and it automatically joined to my Wi-Fi. On my 12 year old Dell XPS 8300 USB2 I was getting D/l speeds of 148MB and u/l speeds of 52MB (I have a 1st gen i7 quad core, 2T SSD and 16G RAM). Moved it to my son's gaming computer, (Ryzen 9 5700x, 2T M2, 32G RAM and GeForce RTX3060 12G GPU) and we are getting 256MB d/l and 75MB u/l. So basically maxing out the speeds for the cable modem. Adding to that it also stopped the lagging from his built in wireless connection. We are now getting sub 40ms pings consistently. Would recommend this product for any age of computer!

AmazonHunter404: Decent WiFi adapter. Am using on both Windows 10 and 11 computers. No need to download the additional the drivers from TP-links website. Works well with the already pre-installed drivers Windows already has. Just a note, if your computer already has a built in network adapter be sure to disable it before using this one. Depending on your computers already installed network adapter you may or may not notice much difference. I found it to be more sensitive than the built in network adapter on my laptop. And I did notice even in strong wi-fi signal areas the internet speed on this adapter was slightly faster than the built in adapter on my notebook. I also noticed that this wi-fi adapter does not work ( or at least work well) when connected to USB extension cables, but it does work well when connected directly to the computers USB port with the already supplied cable. It would be nice if they offered an optional longer cable for the adapter. Oddly enough, even though for me it did not work with USB extension cables, it did work with the USB A to USB C adapter cable.

Carol G.: We live in an area surrounded by Wifi towers - but the shape of our house in relation to where the Wifi modem is doesn't lend itself to directing the signal to where the computer is - it's complicated...

...anyway our carrier's Tech Rep suggested this item by name and so we bought it. The Wifi signal goes from the front of the house to the dining room where there's an adjunct modem (sort of like a pod) that bounces the Wifi signal at a 90 degree angle where the desktop computer (and this unit is located) so that I can connect out to the internet. Without this unit the Wifi signal is iffy at best but this gives me a 3 or 4 bar connection so it's all good.

I can recommend this based on the above as recommended by the Tech.
