Lor: Had one like this years ago on another bike, so helpful, especially if you’re petite, tiny and can’t tolerate a heavy backpack on your back when riding long distances. Holds all essential items including extra liquids, safely and securely. I did not notice any loss of maneuverability on tight turns or sudden evasive moves. Highly recommend this bag and it’s rack.

Mike: I believe the MTX Trunkbag DX is the best Topeak MTX trunkbag. I have owned several variants of this bag and think that without a doubt this is the best. Other Topeak MTX bags I have owned:

MTX Trunkbag DXP (same as this, but with side panniers that fold out)
MTX Trunkbag EX (smaller bag than the DX)
MTX Trunk Drybag (water/rain proof bag with similar capacity to DX)

Here is what I love about the TrunkBag DX:
It attaches easily to MTX-racks by just sliding on and snapping into place. I have done 7-day bike tours with this bag and never had a problem with it rattling, wobbling, or coming loose. This attachment system works great. The bag is well built and shows no signs of wear after thousands of miles.

The main compartment is large, can expand vertically if needed, and has a great yellow-lining making it super easy to see all your stuff, no matter how small. I have owned bags with black/grey linings that are far less easy to find things in.

The side pockets are actually very useful. They are generously sized and can hold quite a bit of stuff, allowing you to reserve the main compartment for bulky items.

Benjamin E Jolly: My ride to work grew from 22 km one way to 29 km, so I decided to be done with the backpack. This pack is large enough to hold a couple prepacked meals, my .5 liter bottle I use at my desk, and a change of clothing. It also holds some hygiene items in a side pocket and my first aid, pump, spare tube, and tools in the other.

It does fit pretty tight to the saddle on the rack from the same company, if your bike is tall-ish like mine you might want to practice mounting/dismounting a couple times since your leg will have to be lifted several inches higher, especially if you have the pack expanded.

It is by no means waterproof but reasonably water resistant.

I am very happy with it, so nice to have the breeze on my back not a sweaty backpack.

Amazon Customer: I have used Topeak trunk bags for years. This being the 5th I've bought and the 4th one with the mtx system.
Slide onto a suitable pannier rack, and it locks in place with no chance of moving, never mind falling off.
They are fitted to 4 of the families' bikes, and I gave one to my eldest son when I gave him one of my bikes.
Depending on model they hold enough kit for a long day ride including rain jacket, food and spares. They also come with a shoulder strap so you can carry it easily when off the bike, should you need to.
Highly recommended from me. Things are only expensive if they aren't suitable for their intended purpose. These bags are very suitable.
