Joe M.: So I'll disclose that I've never owned a trunk bag before this one, and I don't consider myself to be a hardcore cyclist, but at least for my needs, this bag met every single one of them. First of all it's very easy to attach and remove to the Ibera Touring Carrier (IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THIS BAG IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR TRUNK RACK!), and also comes with attachable/detachable shoulder straps to take with you should you need to leave your bicycle behind somewhere. I took this bag with me on a 44 mile round trip ride in Southern California and it was stable throughout the entire trip. The bag has a bungee cord on the top which I used to secure a 40 oz. Hydro Flask, and just like the bag, it never budged and stayed secure throughout the entire ride despite a hitting a few curbs, cracks, and bumps on the street (NOTE: The manufacturers DO NOT recommend this for use with off-road cycling). Inside the bag, I was still able to pack in a portable bike pump, some snacks, cable bike lock, a bottle of sunscreen, and a sweater. This was without even opening the expandable panniers. I believe the bag has a 17L capacity and 23L with the panniers expanded. The rear of the bag has a strap where you...

My husband and I bike a lot, and we camp for many weeks during the summer. The bikes always go to the campgrounds with us. We often use them to ride to the beach, other park attractions, or to the store to pick up a few items. I was getting tired of using plastic shopping bags hung over my arm to carry things to the beach or home from the store, and I often wished we had a way to carry snacks or cold drinks with us. Besides, carrying those swinging plastic bags never made me feel very safe. We also usually have our dog along with us on a break-away leash, and we carry our back-pack style folding chairs with us. It is quite a load, and we needed to be able to take it all safely.
This rack and the bag/panniers will be the answer!
The rack was easy to install on my 26” bike, and we like it so much that we might get the same rack...

LD: At first I was annoyed that I would have to buy a specific rack to go with the pack, because I already had one that I'd been using for over a decade that was still in excellent shape. Once you get past that, you will love this system. I upgraded to this one from the other, smaller, Ibera rack pack because I was always fighting to make everything fit for my daily commute to and from work and would inevitably end up having to add a separate side pannier. I loved the idea of this one with the extra pannier space and expandable centre compartment and I'm so glad I bought it. It has all of the space that I need, perfectly compact, and I'm down to the one bag. It securely attaches and detaches in seconds - just be sure to wipe down the quick release after inclement rides to ensure dirt and mud don't clog it up.

Curtis: I bought this bag a little over 6 months ago. Used in conjunction with the Ibera PakRak carrier, it's an awesome bag, maybe the best I've ever used. Clicks on and off the carrier like a dream, I couldn't even imagine it coming loose. Only two cons: the quick release is open on the bottom of the bag, and can get dirty from mud spraying up from the wheel. This is a minor quibble, however, because it still works great even if it's dirty and a quick spritz of lubricant will fix it right up.
What isn't a minor quibble, and the reason my review loses a star, is the zipper on the main compartment. It SUCKS. I have to be careful every time I open or close the bag, even if it's empty, that the zipper doesn't split. So far I've been lucky that I've been able to get it to close again whenever it does split, but someday I won't be so lucky. It's to the bag's credit though that if that day comes, I'm going to buy the same bag again and do it happily.

London John: I’ve been pretty pleased with this bag and the rack it connects to. It’s really well made and smartly constructed and has plenty of pockets for stuff. The main bag is very roomy - I carry a jumper, blazer and laptop (Surface Pro 4) in there and it fits fine. The pockets are then fine for phone, wallet, lights, power pack, cables etc.
I bought it because I have a bike for cycle commuting that doesn’t have the fit points for a pannier rack. The main downsides of the Ibera system are that it is mounted much higher than a traditional pannier which makes bike handling a bit harder, and with only one mount point it is inevitable that it oscillates more than a pannier. However, those issues are relatively minor and certainly not the fault of the product - just the laws of physics :-)
So, I feel these are good, sturdy, well made products and also feel like value for money

Slug_Overdose: This bag is 100% effective in its intended role. In terms of effectiveness, this is a 5/5. However, I docked 1 star because of some other little issues. I'm not sure whether it's the rack, the bag, or some combination thereof, but attaching and removing the PakRak clip is not perfect. While it holds securely when locked, actually pressing the button feels a little squishy, and it seems nearly impossible to fully engage the lock using downward pressure alone; I typically need to assist the clip with my fingers from below in order to get it to fully lock, which makes it feel a bit cheap, but is not much trouble at all. Prior to understanding this, I was just trying to press down on the bag while holding the button in, and I pinched my thumb which caused a small bruise. I barely noticed, so it's no big deal, but it's just not as elegant as if it "just worked". Compounding this issue is the fact that the rack itself has 2 thin support poles beside where the clip attaches. While this is great for ensuring a secure lock each time, it means there is only 1 exact position where the clip will go down, and when dealing with bike locks and groceries and full hands, it can be difficult to...

Steve: This is a great bag that clips quickly and easily into the Ibera luggage carriers. You MUST have one of these carriers as this will not work with any other (at least not the one I had!)
There are 5 main compartments. The largest fits a set of clothes and lunch including a small towel. You can get size 12 shoes into the folding paniers, although this is a tight fit. You then has an extra pocket on the lid of the bag (plus a webbing compartment underneath this that holds the shoulder strap (took me a while to find that). There is also a small pocket on the rear of the carrier that will hold a flexible bike lock or bike tools.
Safety is enhanced with reflective strips.
After 3 weeks of use I do like this bag. At first I had a bit of trouble mounting the bike as the bag comes quite high and my leg was getting caught when I swung it over the saddle. However my hips have adjusted and now don't have trouble. Added bonus, I am now more flexible than I was !
The downsides, apart from catching your leg, after cycling back from work on a rainy day, mud and watch got into the locking catch on the back and despite running water through it, it is now stiff and hard...

Bradley R Channing: Bought the commuter bag with expandable panniers for 3-20mile commutes to work to carry clothes, shoes whatever and the pak rack for disc brakes. Was a little hard getting the rack to fit the frame, but so far so good. Lots of storage space, zippers can be kind of hard to work and the quick release needs a little lube, but otherwise no complaints.
