Nali16: These are such a great addition to the kitchen! They are flat and thin, and easy to hang in a handy place, just in case. It is nice to know that it is within reach if I need it, and that they don't expire with age like a fire extinguisher does (which I also have at hand). I like that they came in a multi-pack, as I gave one to each of my young-adult children to keep in their kitchens. I haven't had to use them, and I hope I never do - but I'm glad I have them just in case.

TunguTungu: I ordered this fire blanket in a set of four, one for upstairs, two in the kitchen and one in the car. They're easier for me to hang on the wall or cabinet or place under the drivers seat. I still think I need a fire extinguisher in the kitchen (just because), but this is suppose to work just as well (but, I'm not trying to find out).

John: I am happy with the weight and ease of use. I practiced deploying it and found that this was useful. It is surprisingly easy to go from blanket in the bag to fully spread out and ready to place over the fire like you are shaking out a sheet. Just hang the bag using the grommet. Then to deploy grab the two tabs which project out from the bottom of the bag and pull down and apart. The Velcro flap lets go and the blanket unfolds. I haven't had to actually put out a fire but the fiberglass blanket seems completely adequate to do the job. The only thing which could be a challenge is getting the blanket properly folded back up and into the bag. I bought four, so I carefully unfolded a second one to see that you need to fold it lengthwise twice then at 90° to the length in thirds. The heavy fiberglass does not retain fold lines well, so how to refold is not obvious. Having this hanging in a closet just feet from my stove gives me confidence that should we have a kitchen fire we have a good shot at putting it out while it is still small. FYI since the very red bag leaves a stain on the fire blanket, it might leave one on paint. Hanging a sheet of paper behind the bag...
