TOMPOL Electric Bug Zapper - Effective Insect Control for Indoors and Outdoors

KatPat: I originally bought this in 2021 to use in my bedroom to zap gnats that crawled through my screen. But my dog was frightened by the sound, so I put it away.

I got it back out this summer and parked it on my unroofed front porch.

This little unit worked like a champ all summer! Got flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and dozens of June bugs (the big striped flying beetle types).

Rain and wind didn’t hinder it at all, plus the birds enjoyed feasting on the fried corpses every morning.

I unconditionally recommend this, BUT I understand that it might not be made the same in 2023 as it was in 2021.

JD DR: I bought two of these to hang around my house. One is in my bedroom behind a chair so the light doesn't bother my sleep. All I hear is the occasional zap.
After two years of continuous service, one of them finally bit the dust. During that time they worked exactly as expected.
I just ordered a two-pack of bulbs, so I'll have one available when the second lamp stops working.
No complaints at all on these lamps.

Caleb Roose: The zapper kills everything, including mosquitoes. The product stopped working after about 9 months, so I replaced the bulb and it’s working again.
The original bulb was a FUL18W-BL. I could only find 15W and nothing by Tompol. Hopefully it’ll work just as well. It’d be nice if Tompol provided more guidance on bulb replacement
