Thule T2 Pro XT/XTR Hitch-Mounted Bicycle Rack

David C: We recently needed to upgrade our original T2 rack purchased back in 2010. I was shocked to see how much the prices have increased the past 13 years (luckily found this beauty marked down for the holidays) but have to admit the improvements from our old rack are noticeable and very much appreciated:

Larger wheel accommodations (my Niner WFO now fits easily)

The wheeled based makes it so easy to move when off the hitch

Seems beefier but somehow lighter than our old version

Verdict is still out on the locking cable hook but the receiver lock is awesome and a snap to install and remove.

Boo: Ordered the bike rack and came missing some parts. Called Thule customer service and they said they’ll shipped the missing parts. Later I found out my address was noted wrong on their end with multiple typos. Called CS again and they said they’ll resend it if I don’t receive it. If you ever need to contact their customer service, make sure you check and reconfirm every detail. They are pretty nice and friendly, but a bit careless. Overall the bike rack itself is great. It is nice and sturdy but will block your license plate like other users said. I install it by watching YouTube clips. Great buy.

D. Turner: I was a little nervous how its holds the bike but it does a great job. We have been on the highway with it and a little off roading due to having mountain bikes. I like the fact you do not have to bolt this to the car. It screws in solid to the car and locks so you cannot steal it. Its a simple design and well made. It definitely costs more but we really like it.

Hector Rodriguez: This bike rack is just amazing, just keep the bike in place without touch the frame, no worries to damage bicycle paint! Also the positioning of the rack to allow open the trunk door is also very convenient!!! Sit could be better with a damper but still ok!

Scott Holencik: Shipping was fast, two days. The assembly process took 15 minutes - easy and instructions were good. Fit and finish of the product is excellent and the function is outstanding. It take mere minutes to mount and secure on your 2" receiver. One can load and secure two bikes in about the same few minutes. Of note, I've wheeled my Jeep with rack installed and bikes onboard. Everything remained secure and no issues with the bikes on the rack. I highly recommend this product.

Lorri P: This is our third bike rack and even though it is pricey, I would totally recommend it especially for heavy e-bikes. I had my e-bike on our first rack and the bar came down while I was driving and my bike fell off. Luckily I was going very slowly and it didn't totally ruin the bike. The second rack was a cheaper Thule and it wobbled so much that I was fearful that the bikes were going to come loose. It broke so we ordered this heavy duty one. I love that the bar comes down over the wheel. It really holds any kind of bike secure, including my step through. I don't have to have the cross bar to keep it on. The rack has wheels so you can roll it out to the hitch. It is very heavy duty so I have no concern whatsoever that our bikes are going to fall off. It folds up nicely and I love the locking features. It is a bit heavy so my husband has to put it on the hitch, but I LOVE it!

Cesar G Ruiz Garcia: Acostumbrado al tirón para jalar una lancha de 23 pies, el sistema de acoplamiento se ve inicialmente muy frágil. Ya colocado en orificio de 2.5 de distancia aprecio mucho brincoteo( el i atractivo menciona que se recomienda solo para dos bicicletas, hice otro orificio en el tirón de acuerdo al i structivo para 4 bicicletas, da más seguridad. He visto otros y funcionan muy bien así que habrá que experimentar. Fuera de esta apreciación personal todo oerfecto

Assembly was straightforward but requires patience especially when mounting the trays to the rack body. Hardest part is adding the extension so that it is a 4 bike rack. The metal posts fit so tightly that they require lithium grease to slide the extension into the frame. To remove the extension, I need to use a spreader bar. All of this loosened up over several installs and removals but the first couple times were difficult. Otherwise, it’s a great rack. Fits all 4 of the family bikes including my 29” and my son’s 20” without any adapters or special parts. Solid mounts ensure a clean drive to your destination and the bikes can be secured with cable locks. The rack itself can be locked into your hitch receiver so no one can take it.

markmark: Great bike rack, plenty of clearance. I have 27.5 x 4.5 tires on one bike and 27.5 x 2.8 on the other and both fit. rack tilts down to open my back door(hyundai sante fe) without issue while bikes are loaded. no wobble once you tighten the rack on the hitch. ensure you use the larger hole in your hitch if you have two. bikes lock on the rack and take about 1 minute to load and lock. Rack locks to your hitch, and locks bikes without needing to buys anything else. Super easy to put together. amazing rack all around.
Edit: after 3 years I have little to complain about, use it almost everyday. I leave it on all year round for the fatbike and the rack gets splashed with lots of salt. Recently had to replace the rivets holding the latch mech together. It’s back working great.
