Q Ulster: We are so pleased with this bike rack. The instruction video on the seller's page was so helpful. I'm a very small 5" person and was able to install this on our Subaru Ascent without any issues. There is zero wobble with this bike rack. We have two 65lb (with the battery) fat tire e-bikes. We took the battery out and loaded our bikes. It was very easy to adjust the wheel carriers to fit our bikes. The strap that went over each tire is just like our snowboard straps and works very well. Our bikes are step through so we also purchased the bar that goes between the handlebars and the seats. The bar is so easy to put on the bikes and really creates a solid tight fit. We live in an extremely mountainous area with steep windy roads and our bikes were so stable the entire trip home. We're taking them on a long, cross-country road trip in a few weeks and feel very comfortable that our bikes will be safe and sound. We did get a waterproof bike cover and a rear license plate holder for our long trip. Locally it is not needed.

Michael Rubin: To start I purchased this bike rack and combo locking set in May 2023. Have used it a ton and logged many miles carrying my 75# e-bikes without any issues. Sturdy, easy to load and securely holding bikes in place. Tonight I had my first issue with the locking cable system. Just secured my bikes in the bed of my pickup as I’m also towing a camper. Went to unlock the cable but the key inserts and tumbler isn’t turning. Tried the key on the matching hitch pin and no problem so the issue seems isolated to the locking cable. Not sure how I’m going to get this cable unlocked but to be fair I just emailed Hollywood Racks to see what can be done.

Update: Hollywood Racks was quick to reply and satisfied with the warranty policy and have a new lock set on the way. I’ve just got to work on getting a cutter for the cable

Willy Brownshoe Brown: Took it out for a test haul on a drive of about 20 miles and it was rock solid, the thing barely moved even when traversing bumps and railroad tracks, very sturdy hold. Transported two 53 pound E-bikes though the batteries were removed so maybe 40 or so pounds each.

Fairly easy to assemble with nothing really complicated about it, mostly just sliding pieces on and tightening a few fittings. Once done and tire rests were fitted for each bike gave it a final torque and good to go. All the release mechanisms are solid and simple to operate, the bikes feel very secure. I did use the included ratchet strap to add some extra tension to the frames and reduce the slight wobble they had.

It is a heavy unit when moving it from storage to the truck and sort of unwieldy but nothing to sweat about, just be prepared to do some lugging of it, a tradeoff for being heavy duty and durable. All in all I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Rob C: Rack is well built and easy to assemble. It was able to carry two 71lb fat tire ebikes with no issues. Didn't go too far on first drive, but rack was solid and held the bikes well. The anti-wobble lever securely holds the rack to the hitch with zero movement. Also, the 60" maximum wheelbase works with larger bikes (unlike the other brands like Yakima / Thule), but it comes with brackets to also allow bikes with 20" wheels to be secured properly.

Glen HGlen H: What a great bike carrier! After spending two weeks reading up about E-bike carriers and watching lots of YouTube videos on the subject, we decided to go with this carrier. The Hollywood Sportrider E-bike rack is really well built with some nice features. It is very sturdy and made with heavy gauge steel. The joint welds are perfectly made and the steel parts are nicely coated. The entire build is of good quality!
The box that the rack came in was double boxed and inside the main big box almost every part came in its own smaller box and each part inside each box comes in a protective bag. The rack was easy to assemble and all of the tools need to assemble the rack are included with the kit. There are also two bolt on brackets for two 20 inch wheel size bike. Our bikes are 26 inch wheel size, so we do not need the brackets. The kit also comes with two keys that work with the included locking hitch receiver pin, the lock for the two hook that hold the bikes down and a cable lock. I’ll be getting some extra keys cut, so that I can have a key in our two vehicles and a spare left at home. I assembled the carrier in about 15 minutes. The illustrated instructions...

Rock City: Very good product! However, I need to return it since I had ordered the wrong product. I intend to use it behind my 5th wheel RV, therefore I needed to order the "Hollywood Racks RV Rider" and not the "Hollywood Racks Sport Rider".

Prime Timer: I just got a new Juiced Ripcurrent S ebike and it weighs 75 lbs with the battery and 65 lbs without. This rack easily handles that and it is very stable on my truck due to the stabilizer feature on the hitch. It was very easy to assemble because there is an installation video that walks you through it all. If your Ebike is over 70 lbs, this hitch rack is well worth the price. It's expensive but it's better to be safe than sorry with this rack. I like that you can fold it up on the hitch when not in use, and that you can lock the top bar hooks in place. So far the wheel straps work very well and the overall quality seems very solid. I've only had it for 2 weeks, but so far it holds up very well. Hauling a mountain bike and 70lb ebike is no problem for this rack! It's very sturdy and adjustable. If you have a 70+lb Ebike don't cheap out on a hitch rack, this one is specifically designed for it and I don't have any regrets!

It is out-of-stock almost everywhere it’s sold as soon as it’s in stock, so if you need one and it’s available, I highly recommend you GET ON IT NOW!

This heavy duty rack is made for a 2” hitch receptacle, and won’t work with anything smaller. Anything less would probably not hold two of these 80 lb bikes and survive a road trip.
