DEBBIE ADAMS: Because of several reviews assailing the accuracy of this item, I tried it out on the environment (70 degrees, the thermostat setting) and myself (various readings at various times). Appeared accurate every time, right down to me usually reading a degree low. I have no question it is accurate. Also very easy to use. Doesn't require much hand strength; just point and shoot. Very pleased with this purchase.
