先日、このマットの使用目的である暑めの時期での使用ではなく初冬でインフレーターマットの滑り止めと多少の断熱効果を期待して使用したらインナーテントとインフレーターマットでの使用時の悩みであった滑りが全く起こらず感動しました。
試しに単体で横になったのですが流石に防寒に対しての効果は感じられませんでした。。。
しかし単体でもそこそこの衝撃緩衝力があるのだと知りこちらも感動モノでした。

エアマット、コットの夏用秋冬用と全てサーマレストで揃えていますが素晴らしい商品ばかりで助かっています。
私自身は自動車移動でのキャンプ利用ですし、そもそも夏にキャンプはしないので単体での本来の性能発揮場面ではほぼ利用しませんが、徒歩やバイクキャンプで暑い季節に使用される方にお勧めします。

Spencer Hurley: I use this for military applications. It is more comfortable and just as warm as my Marine Corps issue sleeping pad. It's definitely much lighter. Only downside is that rocks can easily be lodged in the gaps and that the silver side is not the most concealable color. It would be nice if they made a green and tan one.

Pros:
Very light
Comfortable

Cons:
Egg carton design traps rocks sometimes
Silver side not very tactical (might not be a problem for most)

Steve O.: I have yet to camp with this as the season is drawing to a close here in Ontario, but I actually put this down on my living room laminate wood floor and laid down on it and closed my eyes listening to evening coffee shop jazz just to see how it would feel. With whatever omniscient being may or may not be up there as my witness, I almost fell asleep on it.

I will update this when I do get a chance to camp with it, but if almost passing out on my living room floor with it is any indication as to how well I will work, I think I will enjoy camping with it not only for its comfort level but also the fact I don't need to worry about it leaking or needing to be pumped up.

LL: Works very well and is comfortable for use in a shelter and my tent. It can also be used to make a comfy seat or nap pad. Very lightweight and simple to use. It folds back into its original shape easily.

Pablo: The best purchase I've made in the camping area. Very comfortable. Perfectly insulates the cold coming from the cold. Don't expect a 5 star hotel bed. 100% comfort combining it with a sleeping.

Sidney Turner: For the weight it is very tough and comfortable (emphasis 'for the weight')
Got this to replace a blow up one that broke and I can't be dealing with fixing a puncture in the woods.
No chance of this breaking!
It's quite big and awkward to put on the outside of my pack but I did remove 4 sections as they were not needed which helped.
I am a smidge over 180cm I think and I only need a matt to cover me from shoulders to the knees as I use a headrest like a jumper and my shins and feet weigh so little that they don't feel the hard ground.

Now the only con - Due to the egg box style if you get condensation in your tent the matt fills up with water!
4 weekends in a row my sleeping bag was wet underneath due to the matt collecting condensation and it's impossible to wipe dry so you have to give it a big shake outside your tent while trying to avoid spilling the water inside the tent.
Even after shaking it you have to let it dry for hours in cold tempretures.
One night I put bin bags over it and in the morning there was no condensation in the matts grooves but that adds extra hassle.

I plan to get one of those crappy foam matts that roll up as at least...

Bubbalicious: I didn't think they could improve on the original therma-a-rest I've had since college, but they did. A cold hike across the Sierra's convinced me that I needed more insulation, but necessarily inflation.

At first I looked into inflatable models, but the best are expensive and I also like camping gear that's rugged, unlike cactus prone inflatable models. I tossed my multi-patched inflatable a few years back.

PROS:
1. Size: The egg carton shaped surface interlocks to make it fold thinner than you would think.
2. Packing: It folds quickly, and I didn't have a problem bending it or stuffing it if needed. It is a bit wide for stuffing horizontally, but I prefer to tie it to the outside for easy access as a break chair.
3. Insulation: The new surface creates air pockets and better ground insulation. The foam also seems better than my original black therm-a-rest.
4. Look: I got basic green, and I like that. I don't like rests that double as rescue flags and despoil the campsite with a space camp look.
5. Durability: So far, it seems durable. I will look after the folding points, but expect them to wear well.

CONS:

Franzi: Vorweg: es gibt ja die billigeren nachgebauten. Allerdings gibt es wohl doch einen Unterschied: bei der billigen schreibt jemand, dass schon noppen abgehen würden und die Ränder abgeknabbert aussehen würden.
Ich habe diese jetzt sehr oft - da ich sie in der Wohnung als Notbett vor dem Kinderbett nehme - in gebrauch und es ist wirklich noch gar nichts abgegangen oder kaputt. Obwohl die Kinder diese Matte auch sehr lieben und dann leider drauf rumhüpfen oder damit rumhauen.
Also Qualität hat wohl seinen Preis. Ich dachte echt anfangs, die lebt nicht lange, aber sie hat noch keinen einzigen Schaden bisher. Auch nicht irgenwelche Bruchstücke an den Knicken, obwohl ich die echt oft zusammenfalte und auseinander falte.

Ich empfinde diese Matratze als sehr bequem, ich liege lieber auf ihr als auf einer 7,5cm selbstaufblasenden superteuren Matratze.
Auch die Kinder lieben diese Matratze.
Sehr praktisch auch, sie kann kein Loch bekommen. Also sie ist sicher, man hat nicht das Problem, plötzlich mitten im Campingurlaub auf dem Boden zu liegen, weil die Kinder leider auf der Luftmatratze gehüpft sind und diese geplatzt ist oder leider ein kleines Loch reingekommen...

Toniko: Ich habe echt lange überlegt, ob ich 40€ für eine Isomatte ausgeben soll. Eine 22-tägige Interrail-Reise durch Europa stand an und ich war auf der Suche nach einer leichten, aber vor allem robusten, Isomatte. Letztendlich hab ich zugeschlagen und kurzum: Es hat sich gelohnt.

Die Verarbeitung ist super und auch nach drei Wochen Dauereinsatz als Schlaf- und Sitzgelegenheit auf Erde, Sand, Stein, Asphalt und Wiese ist nichts gerissen oder ausgeleiert. Auch wenn mal ein kleiner zweig tatsächlich durchsticht ist das völlig egal, davon sieht man nachher quasi nichts mehr.

Dank der Wabenstrukur ist das Packmaß deutlich kleiner als bei einer gerollten Matte mit gleicher Dicke, aber da Isomatten eh immer außen an den Rucksack kommen ist das für mich auch nicht so wichtig.

Diese Wabenstruktur macht auch den großen Komfortunterschied aus, ich bin eigentlich ein ziemliches Weichei, was Schlafkomfort im Urlaub angeht. Bisher hab ich zu jedem Zelturlaub eine gewöhnliche Matratze ins Auto gepackt, das war bei dieser Reise natürlich nicht möglich.
