S. Jenks: Truly inspiring and heartbreaking all at once. I am so grateful for Rosie’s bravery, resilience and red hair that got her through such a terrible life experience. Definitely a must read if you want to learn about the holocaust.

Maria S. Zoccoli: So much detail. Really gives the reader a clear picture of the horrors that took place and Rosie’s amazing resiliency. Didn’t want to put it down.

Jeremy W.: As a gentile I read many books about the Jewish faith & peoples. The ones about the Nazi cruelty towards them are almost unbelievable. The death camps such as Auschwitz should be visited by every person from every country wishing to enter politics. It should be a pre prerequisite of any politician. But we still do not learn from our mistakes. We still let history repeat itself. Thank you Nechama, you have told the life story of your Grandma superbly well.

Jose Mobley: Loved the book and learn about Jewish traditions and culture. It's hard to put the book down. A great read and recommend for our young generation to learn how young women and men described in this book were able to survive and never gave up hope and perseverance under the most atrocities and hate they endured. A must read to appreciate the graces we receive every day.

ArtwormArtworm: Well written, short chapters, a page turner !
Hard to believe so many humans carried out such an evil astrosity. We can not steer the future without knowing and understanding history. All schools should have this book as a mandatory read and many other books like it.

Carol M: This book was not easy to read. The atrocities that the Nazis committed were so - I don't even have the words - sick, and perverted, and pure evil. Yet the chapters dedicated to the life she lived as a child, growing up in a loving home, and within a community where everyone cared for each other - before the war, at least - those were the chapters that tempered the other chapters dedicated to the harsh truths of the camps. Rosie's descriptions of her life in Crasna made me feel like I knew her, and her family and friends. I marvel at what a strong woman she was.

I was sad when I finished the book because I'm reading it just weeks after the brutal Hamas attacks in Israel. Watching the news coverage of so many pro-Palestinian rallies across the world and the rising anti-semitism...it's frightening. Have we learned nothing from the Holocaust? "Never again". And yet...here we are.

Amazon Customer: Well done. I could feel her pain of unconscionable and horrific survival. Such inhumanities
and riveting events hard to imagine

JAIME R.: To Rosie and Nechamah:
I finally finished reading #TheReadHeadofAuschwitz. Thank you Rosie for sharing your terrible experience thru the Shoah. For not giving up and always willing to go back home, for your still beautiful smile and soul.
Neshamah thank you for having the courage and time to write in such a perfect way the good moments of Rosie's life before Auschwitz, which let us the readers love and cherish all the family members, making them live in our memories for ever. And what a way to take us by hand to the details of all the terrible suffering Rosie went thru. This is a must read book for all the youth who are being misinformed or not informed at all of what hate can do. Hopefully your and Rosie will to spread the word becomes a reality.
May we never see such destructiveness in our world.
