pschaefer121: I have an old house with tiny doorknobs. When I started researching ways to lock a door to an odd space, I realized it was going to take a lot of creativity. This little device finally fit the bill. It does hang a bit awkwardly because of the size of the old knob, but I have a couple of ideas to improve the look. Someone would have to totally destroy the doorknob to get this device off. It gives me options that I thought I would only have by completely replacing the existing door and locks for very little $$$.

Roger Garza: lo uso en mis depas de renta. no pagas alquiler y bloqueo entrada a tu depa, asi tienen que venir a mi oficina. En viajes lo uso en depas que rento para asegurar dueño con copias llaves no entre.

faith teems: I gave this a 4 because the locking mechanism comes out easily , but you can just pop it back in, in an unlocked position and once it's in a locked position it can't come out because of the bar that crosses on the inside of this thick heavy metal. I think the problem is the plastic washer that goes around the mechanism deteriorates very easily , which allows the locking mechanism to come out when it's in an unlocked position.
Overall , I have bought a bunch of these for different purposes. The thick metal bar that crosses the inside , when in a locked position , and the thick heavy metal of this outer frame will keep anyone from taking this thing off easily , if at all without a key. Also it's so close to the door itself that it will be awkward to try to get off with out a key!...great for 'roommate' circumstances , or in my case a mother with dementia ( to keep her out of rooms with important papers, etc. !!!

KK: Ordered this to lock my door from the outside since I’m in the process of replacing my locks. It works great for the time being and is really sturdy, however I wouldn’t rely this as my long term lock. Other reviews mentioned the actual lock piece falling out - I didn’t have any troubles with that at all, seems well built!
