O.G. Rose: I think epistemology is one of the most important fields out there, and I am particularly a fan of thinkers like David Hume and Charles Sanders Peirce who approach philosophy as playing a sociological and existential role, more than say "getting at the Ultimate Truth." That's not to say there isn't a capital-T-Truth (that's a different question), but that we have to figure out how to live with the "existential itch" of not being sure either way. Enter the Collins: they provide mental models and tools to help us live with and even enjoy that itch as an invitation to live a fuller and richer life. I was impressed with their suggestions, ways of taking on hard metaphysical inquiries, and overall understanding that philosophy is in the business of "mental self-defense." Pick up a copy today!

Kindle Customer: I've had this lovely gem of a book for about a year now, read in its entirety and applied *almost everything* this book has offered. I'm certain that this book will:
Pros-
1) Challenge Your Values and Belief System(s)
2) Engage Your Ability to Think Critically
3) Provide Simple, Yet Positive Transformative Tools to 'Create-A-Self' That Aligns to Who You Want to Be.

Although I found the work transformative & engaging, FAIR WARNING. This is not an easy read.

Potential Objective Cons
1) This book does NOT feed you any answers. You can read the entire book and leave empty-handed if you don't put any effort into its practices and actually experiment for yourself what works and doesn't work for you.
2) Although I found it enjoyable, you may find it a 'dry' or boring read as others have stated. Keep in mind the authors have written this guide to be 'effective' not entertaining.
3) Be very careful and strategic about your public character flaw. It needs to be relevant, not crippling to your character. People will treat you accordingly. (For those who may be shy or do not have large experiences dealing with all types of personality types: If you do...

Jorge: It is a text that inspires my sense for pen and paper roleplay. I am a "Simulationist" (GNS) and I highly recommend this book to every GM and the motivated players, if they are more like actors and directors than just media-junkies.

Roni GBZ: So, I loved this book, even though personally I came to similar conclusions in my life even before I read it, but still, I enjoyed it, and I think it would primarily serve two groups of people:

1. People who are tired of living their lives on autopilot, who feel like their entire lives other people told them what they should want and what they should believe in. The authors present a way that might be quite novel to that group of people, a way to reach your own conclusions about your own life by yourself, without waiting for any element of family or society or any self-proclaimed guru to tell you what you are supposed to want to get out of this life. We keep saying over and over that life is short, and yet we sometimes feel quite content living it by imitating what we think other people's opinions and beliefs are (spoiler alert, rarely do people really believe what they tell us they believe in or what we perceive them to believe in) instead of making our own judgments about what would be good for us, individually. So this book will help you get there, but prepare to be offended, because hearing the truth is not easy, and the authors of this book hardly make any attempt to...

Cynikal: This is a book for the inquisitive mind.
A definite yes for someone seeking a semblance of an upgraded “life manual” in a complex and galloping society.
Our initial directory (genetic and cultural) are outdated for our actual demands, and needed an update.
This publication is definitely setting the stage for this revamping.
Well done.

Amazon Customer: So far I've only listened to chapters 1 and 2. I'm impressed by how briefly the authors lay out the most important considerations in moral philosophy and epistemology. And I can easily apply them to my own thought. It's not just abstract gibberish.

Jacques R.: What's a successful life to you? How can you ensure you'll have no regrets when you look back upon your entire life? Most important: How can you make it happen? This excellent book does much better than answering these questions -- it gives you all the tools you need to really come up with your own answers instead of following pre-fabricated advice. Instead of being "just another book" on the topic, this book brings real value with a fresh approach to finding your own answers by structuring the process and reviewing all the alternative ways of thinking about the topics, in a non-judgmental way. I'm reading it all over again as I refine my life plan. I'm really happy I found this book!
