D. Brink: It gives a good overview of the basics of PCOS and how to manage your symptoms through diet

Jae SeamanJae Seaman: As someone newly diagnosed, this book has brought me so much clarity and peace in this new journey! The dedication page is the best way I can describe the authors work. She provides facts, breaks things down in a way I can understand and has provided me the tools I need to start to process everything my body has going on.

The recipes are easy to follow and delicious! The 2 week meal plan was the perfect start for me to ease into it and learn what i should and shouldn’t be eating.

Bailey: SOOOO many recipes. Lots of planning..not really my thing. But it could work for you if you have the time and money

Joanna: Really helpful background information, together with appropriate, practical, tasty meal plans for those suffering with PCOS.

NamSe: The book gives the basics of PCOS diet, however, it fail to mention how incredibly hungry you will be (especially as a vegetarian) and how bad this diet will make you feel (that much almond meal will cause terrible stomachache and bloating).
The food list is very expensive and the amount of recipes in this book is laughable, and it can’t be called a cookbook. Also, the book does not provide information about substitution of the ingredients. Say you don’t like one ingredient in the recipe, it doesn’t tell you whether or not it can be substituted with another similar ingredient.
Another thing is that this book is more aimed at American readers, as a lot of the ingredients listed are not available elsewhere in the world. Most of the fish mentioned are not available in my country, so are a lot of the pantry staples. That limits my opinions significantly.
My body is still recovering from my first 48 hours cooking from this book. Cooking from it caused me a lot of stress, something which is actually not good for PCOS. Not the greatest.

Chloë: It’s a good book, but I think there no much receipe and no much explanations about PCOS... soso

Claire: This book was purchased to help my daughter understand her recent diagnosis from her GP. Since reading and using the receipes within the book she has been able to change her diet and has a better knowledge of how certain everyday food and drinks were causing her illness to burden her quality of life. .She is a university student living away from home, so needed to change to a gluten free, dairy free, wheat free diet in order to manage her overall wellbeing . This book is full of lots of benefitial points that help to explain what triggers PCOS and how to live a happy, healthly less painfull life.

AmandaJane83: Probably the best decision I made in my life! Seriously. I'm 33 about to be 34 in 2 days and I've been TTC for about 7 years now. I just recently went to the fertility dr. and they told me that my only hope is IVF. They put me on two rounds of clomid and I didn't ovulate. I decided to take control of my body and stop relying on medicine. This is a good first step. Honestly, it isn't too crazy, you're going to have to expect to buy a few things when you are changing out the way you eat. I spent 120.00 on the staples,(arrowroot flour, spices, etc) and vegetables/fruits. I've been mostly following the diet for about 1 1/2 now and I honestly can tell a difference. I am not as bloated and I don't feel disgusting after I eat now. Along with the recipes, it does go in to a little detail about why our (PCOS) bodies react the way they do with food, but I would also suggest getting "8 Steps to Reverse Your PCOS" by Dr. Fiona McCulloch. I think these books go perfectly together!!
