Peter: I am currently [slowly] re-reading Anne Rice's books, and this is one that I have good memories of. I wasn't disappointed second time around. Big, and absorbing, this is a book to be savoured. Introducing a lot of characters for other volumes of novels, this is superb gothic writing.

Lynn Morris: The overall book itself was like new and clean. The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact that the dust jacket had been trimmed along the top about 1/8" to 1/4" depending. It was not completely straight, (done freehand) and you could tell right away. The dust jacket is just as important as a collectible as the book. I will now have to search out another dust jacket in new condition to match the book. Otherwise, the book itself was as described. So happy but not happy.

Marcin Kemnitz: The print is to small to read for person that doesn't wear glasses day to day. Id need a magnifying glass to read the text. Ridiculous.

Constance Stewart: I decided to read the books again after many years after seeing the AMC series. I used to read Ann's books when they first came out. Then for some reason she started painfully going on and on with the characters thoughts and their guilt. Sometimes pages of it that I found boring. That being said with rereading it I skipped over those pages and could enjoy the story. My favorite is Michael and Aaron and the history of Stella and Julian. AMC decided to combine Michael and Aaron and completely skip Stella and Julian. They put the whole book in one season instead of splitting it into 2 seasons and staying true to the books. This review is for the book and I do suggest you read it and skim through the guilty thoughts parts.

Lynn S.: I am not sure these reviews are read by the authors or publishers - or even Amazon employees. However, I have a major complaint. I will explain, but the issues detailed here mean
The earlier works by Anne Rice need to be made available in electronic format. This applies to other author and books as well.
Electronic book pricing is the same if not more than paper publications depending on whether the book is new or used, so I cannot comprehend any reluctance that publishers may have about providing all books by a given author in electroic format. Also, I believe electronic books are less prone to loaning out or selling used. I loaned the entire Sookie Stackhouse series to my best friend, but I have yet to loan out a single electronic book as I am not willing to give up my IPAD, even to my father who is elderly and living with us (selfish, I know. Told him he can buy a Kindle/IPAD and I'd manage the electronic side!) So I actually believe the physical books (paper in other words) are more likely to be shared which definitely cuts into the profits of publishers and authors.
I would assume people who have purchased an electronic reading device will agree that it...

Ronda Tutt: Finally some closure. Lasher got what he deserved. Michael went through all kinds of crap and poor Rowan was totally brutalized physically and mentally. The ending was thrilling and gave me satisfaction. Question now is, what will the Mayfield witches get into now that Lasher no longer exist.
