The purpose of my reading this book was by way of seeking explanation.

1. Why are these infections NOT as virulent as what people would believe if they read the newspaper?

-I happen to be (somewhat) Haredi, and at our synagogue, we have not been wearing masks since a couple of months after Purim last year.

-We have four Kollels in this city where people sit in the same room with each other for hours and hours on end every single day 5 days a week with no masks, and there have been exactly zero illnesses / deaths.

Why?

2. Why does the spread of the disease not seem to depend on masks?

It seems like there have been several (Stateside) waves of the disease, and they don't seem to depend on masking, which has only gotten more intense over time.

Why didn't the disease just vanish as mask use went up?

3. These studies cited by "experts" suggest a lot of things that seem to be empirically false. Could it be because they are laboratory studies that (typically) have low external validity?

Could it be because they are observational studies?

Tim B.: All three of Berenson's short books should be mandatory reading for every citizen.

Berenson comprehensively draws upon the best of available scientific information from the WHO, the CDC and other sources to present a comprehensive picture of what we know, don't know and how in so many areas we are being terribly mislead, misinformed and uniformed.

I can't recommend this series enough.

Naomi: God bless the dissenters!!! Switch off the government propaganda politically based fear narrative and do your own research. Thank God for these brave people who are willing to say "hang on, that doesn't make sense". None of it makes sense. The only thing that makes sense of covid is Fear = Control. Read up on the other side of the story people, while it's still there to read. Without people such as Alex Berenson standing up and speaking the truth, we would all get carried along in this tidal wave of government rhetoric.

Janice: Alex is a handful of people willing to stand up to the mass hysteria being generated for political purposes. Mathematicians cried shut us down or you will die. Politicians shut us down and called it science despite the lives and businesses destroyed. We need time to flatten the curve! 10 months later, and nothing changed other than a society of sheeple blindly believing a cloth will save them from a virus that the CDC says 98%-99% for all age groups will not die from - better odds than the seasonal flu. But wear those masks. Number of “cases” are up! Wear those masks! Almost everyone wears one without questioning the politicians. Anyone with half a working brain should know building a healthy immune system is what protects you from the virus of the year. Wearing a piece of cloth that has bacteria on it from constantly being pulled at, breathing harder due to the reduced oxygen, denying your body’s immune system the ability to work as designed and breathing lint into your lungs is going to make you sick. And that lint will not leave your lungs. Pulmonary Fibrosis .., look it up. If the politicians without medical degrees truly cared, they would run commercials on how to build...

Lawrence Ambrose: Really more of an essay than even a booklet, Alex Berenson's latest "Covid Thriller" wastes neither words nor time assessing the case for and against masks in the current casedemic. After devoting months of research to this topic and writing an in-depth analysis of the C19 morass, I really wanted to be critical of AB's brief hit-pieces. Yet while they are no more than essays, what excellent essays they are. I think this last edition is perhaps is best so far - a remarkable distillation of evidence and arguments. Perhaps brevity truly is the soul of insight?

I do take exception with AB's claim - echoing what I call the Propaganda Press - that there is "no evidence" for massive election fraud. That is strangely prejudicial and simply wrong, and I'm not sure why he saw fit to make it. Alex made a similarly unfounded claim on Tucker Carlson that there is "no evidence" for the lab-created virus hypothesis - again, simply wrong (which I explain in my book).

Alex doesn't dig into the deeper forces at play in this manufactured crisis (I'm not sure he even views it as manufactured, though he might), perhaps because he wants to avoid the "conspiracy theorist" label. I proudly...
