Esteban Ricardo: I read the Egyptian Book of the Dead from another edition, but since I liked it so much I decided to buy this one, so as to have all the plates in a large and full-color format. It didnt disappoint: the book is indeed beautiful.

Nicholas: This beautifully-printed book allows anyone to access firsthand the Papyrus of Ani. The prints are high-quality, and the translations, to my limited knowledge, are fair.
The book is large, so not easy to store or travel with (although it is not thick and so remains lightweight). This would be forgivable, but the prints generally take up less than half the page, and there is a lot of whitespace. Future design teams could probably improve upon it, but still a great product as-is.

Mrs Janice W Hallam: I bought this for my son's girlfriend for her birthday. She loves history and really liked the book. She basically never put it down for the couple of days she was staying here. I had a quick look and the photos and illustrations are great and it is well put together. She said to give it a 4/5 🙂

The papyrus depicted here is examined in enormous detail and this revised edition with gatefold pages to display sections in their entirety doe# the subject justice. The most recent translation and interpretation is shown here and for anyone interested in ancient civilisations and their beliefs, this a truly rewarding read. It’s a book to savour and go back to time and again. Although packed with detail, it’s presented in a way 5gats accessible to the lay reader. Paper qualit6 is 3xcellent and the colours are good.

JF B: I have the Budge's book, and this one complete greatly it with the full color plates of it.
What I liked less are the first 34 pages, out of 190 of introduction / bio pretty condescending against the work of Budge and the classical world. Only because us so called "modern" humans are so better today for sure.
If Champollion and Budge were so against the ancient world and inconsiderate of it, the authors of this current book would have never published it.
So I remove one star for this pitiful endless stream of glorification of modernism at the start of the book.
Outside this, the rest is pretty good and complete the "erroneous" works of the 19th/20th century....
