Kindle Customer: I love to laugh and this has subtle jokes in spades. This series is literally my favorite in sci-fi. Funny, easy to digest, and a world builder.

Otter: The series explains the issues of soldiers brought back to life over and over. The reader learns the best and the worst of living as a forever Soldier.

Brian B.: I really enjoyed this story. The stories get better and better with each installment. The characters are rich, and well described. I’m looking forward to the next book…

Sanjay Sharma: As usual, James McGill keeps one stuck to the read, each page as full of his exploits ... Always an easy read, a fantasy, fable that one wants to indulge in once every few months...

Kindle Customer:
The bad out of the way first: there were a couple of simple grammatical errors. That's it, that's the bad.
These books are fantastic. Well thought out, well plotted out, the protagonist is extremely enjoyable, the dialog and action are well written, the descriptions aren't overly wordy but they always get the point across. There isn't really a lull in the book at any point, it's a blast to read the whole way through. Frequently, when a series goes on this long, it can get stale and repetitive. I'm pleased to say that this series doesn't have a whiff of that, and the surprising turns keep coming. Can't recommend this series (and this book) strongly enough!

Graham Bruce: I keep coming back to McGill and his exploits. I grin like a idiot, laugh out load and love the range of characters. This is no Dickens or classic but if you enjoy a yarn, a romp or just the chance to escape with a true rogue and a bunch of people with history then sign up. Every time I say that's it enough no more .......... oh look just ordered 18,19 and 20 and I sit here grinning as I fire up the kindle app lol. Turn off the tapper or use the foil trick put your feet up and enjoy!
