JinNao: Before I read this book, I'd say I was using the bathroom every 40 minutes or so. That was the way my whole life had been, from like the time I was a toddler- seriously.
...Then I decided there was a concert I wanted to see that had only mainfloor tickets, and I learned it would probably be difficult to save my place if I kept needing to use the ladies room. I decided to train my bladder using the methods in this book and- SUCCESS; I held my pee for 4 1/2 hours during the concert and even had enough control to walk half a mile back to my hotel before going. Great tools in this book!

Cerridwen: Unfortunately, as I feared this was a waste of money for me. The book mainly covers leakage in women and offers little beyond the kegel exercise and voiding delay that most doctors tell you about, and which I've been trying for the last 2 years without/or little improvement. Drugs having made things worse and having been dismissed from the hospital, I hoped this book would offer greater insight. Although I learned a little more on how the bladder works and that it can 'physically' shrink, the book doesn't address much in the way of dry incontenience (no leakage), pain, dealing with said pain, urethra pain, and outside effects on the bladder (not just drink irritants like alcohol and caffiene which most medical practitioners seem fixated with) like menopause affecting women with frighteningly high statistics, a subject severely lacking here.
Incidentally, the list of 'good fluids' given are mostly all bad for me: herbal teas, decaffinated drinks, and milk, so it's best to experiment and not take the included list as given. Same for foods which can be equally debilitating. In short, if you're someone who has just discovered symptoms and are yet to see a doctor this book may...

nona: Excellent information at a time of need. Especially interesting is the list of what to drink to avoid irritating the bladder. The only slight downside was that it was not possible to read the charts on a kindle, although this did not detract from the overall read.

Amazon Kunde: I have had an OAB for over 8 years now. Only 2 months ago my doctor finally sent me to an urologist who told me I have an OAB. I got prescribed medication but that gave me tacchycardia, making me feel pretty bad for 2 days. He gave me something else but I tore up the prescription.
I decided to go another route and the protocol, described in this book solved my problem. Where I would pee every half hour to an hour I now can sometimes go for 5 to 6 hours without peeing. Normally I would pee around 150 ml but now I can sometimes hold up to 600 ml!
Where I had to wake up 6, sometimes 8 times a night, I now have to get up to pee one, or two times at most to pee. I have even had nights where I don't have to get up at all to pee!
It took me 3 weeks, following the protocol, to get there. It takes a bit of discipline but, believe me, this works!

Renee: Wow! I read this entire book in a couple of hours and it could have been written about me. I have been having this problem for over a year and it actually sent me to the ER a year ago it had gotten so bad, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I had had one UTI test after another ...NOTHING and the hospital did bladder scans, internal and external ultrasounds and found nothing wrong, except possibly an "irritated bladder". Okay, so what does one do about that? I ordered tons of different supplements and of course AZO bladder control and nothing helped me. Now as I prepare for an 11 hour road trip to Alabama in Sept. for my wedding, I figured it was time to get serious. Who wants to stop every 5 minutes to go to the bathroom anyway? This book makes so much sense and I was very much like the woman in this book that thought not drinking so much would solve the problem. Wrong. She is spot on about every symptom I have and the way I live my life always looking for a bathroom. Since I read this book just yesterday, I can't say she is correct and that this will fix everything, but I am implementing her program to the very last detail and will be back to verify if it indeed does work....

Susan G: Just the title of this book made me want to read it. Control of our bodies is so much about finesse and understanding. It helps to have some mechanical support, but really, it is so much about balance and compassion.
This book is a book for all women to read. It focuses on the bladder, of course, and it does that with the depth and breadth needed to improve the lives of women with any type of bladder control issues. I know from experience that the exercises to strengthen the bladder and surrounding muscles work. I also know how much it helps to understand how reducing things that irritate the bladder make a huge difference as well. What you need to know is all in one place. If you haven’t read the book before you are 50, you will gravitate to it shortly after that.
I would also add that this book gave me so much respect for my body. When we think of it from this perspective, we certainly have compassion for it and all that we ask it to do. We love our daily indulgences like coffee and other irritating concoctions. This book helped me understand that there is a bigger picture here. We don’t just fill a black box everyday with food and drink. We have a very sensitive,...
