AR: This is a great book. A few other shorter books on the subject seemed to just quote this book.

Great specific information for a myriad of health problems.

I've read four books on urine therapy and this is by far the best...and it's the most quoted!

Tracy Quinter: Very well written and humorous at times. It was first published in the 70s with the author’s experiences from the early 20s, so it’s a touch dated in some findings. Still a Great read!

Esther: I had many questions about how folks used this method of treatment. The book had the answers to my curiosities. I am grateful I was able to obtain the book, as it was first printed and copyrighted decades ago. I own the 2005 edition.

Amazon Customer: A good read and very interesting. Doesn't address it much, but not an advise if you're taking any meds.

Amazon Customer: I purchased this book after finding out about urine therapy. I did extensive research and found this book to be the icing on top of the cake. it has all the information regarding how urine therapy has treated many life limited conditions such as cancer. I have implemented urine therapy into my everyday routine and I honestly did not know such healing could be possible. I am eternally grateful and I hope alot of people come across this information. I have started urine therapy and I look 10 years younger! I had a suspicious growth which disappeared rapidly. Amongst other benefits such as sleep, energy, skin, hair, teeth, vision and just general healing. I have spread the knowledge to many and I hope others who come across this life changing information also shares it, even if it may seem 'weird' to those who are not enlightened to this therapy as of yet. Overall, I am thankful that this book is available and the knowledge is able to live on and help generations after generations.

Amazon Customer: Interesting, though the book is near 80 years old. There have obv been advances in allopathic treatments and diagnostics hence, though perhaps less than I thought. It is funny to see that some of the arguments btw alternative therapies and allopathy have very little changed in the last 80 years....
Armstrong's case studies at indeed very impressive (though we have to take his word for his successes).
I am wondering though if there was some confirmation bias too (or I might just be resisting!) when he claims that good healing can only be achieved through urine fasting and daily urine rubs of min 2hrs.
This would make his therapy somewhat impractical (unless one is fully incapacitated anyway)....
Not much mention of practicalities either. E.g. mainly is there a smell issue? I keep reading that, No, but my own attempts at rubs have me question that. At least the hair seem to retain some urine smell, so it is a therapy best conducted at nite, in the solitude of one's home?
But mainly, if urine is as potent as he says, I wonder why a complete fast seems essential?

Still all over positive, and it has further awakened my curiosity. And since it is a free therapy, it...

Sluss: The first I ever heard of this came about when Gandhi endorsed the practice for wellness in either a book or movie (I forget which) some years ago. It startled me somewhat at the time. However, I've since seen the practice recommended in movies made in the Far East, in books about English sailors who traveled the world, and in accounts of people who survived disasters of various kinds and drank their own urine in the absence of potable water until rescue. The book is quite interesting and even persuasive, but the language is dated. Some of the illnesses do not readily correspond to modern terms. While I was grateful to read the book, it left me wishing for a more modern treatment of the therapy with some scientific studies to support it.

While I recommend reading this book, I also recommend Martha M. Christy's "Your Own Perfect Medicine," and "Urine Therapy" by Flora Peschek- Bohmer and Gisela Schreiber. While there is some overlap in the two latter books, there is also much that isn't contained in both. The Christy book also has a number of recent studies done by reputable clinics and doctors in the US and Europe. I expect to see more good studies about it in the...

mp: I am a practitioner of Urine Therapy, drinking it every day, and this book is a classic for anyone interested in this subject.

The author was seriously ill with TB and cured himself, after all medical help had failed, by a combination of fasting and drinking his own urine. He then went on to found his own clinic using the same methods in the inter-war years. This book was written in the 1930's and is mostly details of cases of people, many of them seriously ill, who were cured by his methods.

His method of fasting with urine drinking is something anyone can do and it doesn't cost a penny. It is also the world's finest skin improver when massaged into the skin (which can then be washed to remove the smell). All that is required is the courage to get used to the disgusting taste (and smell: heavens knows what the clinic must have smelt like)

Urine therapy is long established in India, but this seems to be the only example of a clinic in the West in the modern era. It was closed by the end of the 1940's due to increased regulation by the orthodox profession and there does not seem to be any further record of his activities, which is a shame because his methods,...

John Wagoner of Davis: My first impression of this book was unfavorable, as I was surprised the author's introduction was dated 1944, when I was expecting a book published in 2005 to be ' modern'. The book is about the accomplishments of a healer who worked between 1918 and 1944 . I quickly found this book to be one of the most extraordinary accounts of healing I have ever read. Most of the book is comprised of case histories of extremely sick people that healed themselves with the guidance of John W. Armstrong. People found there way to Armstrong after being abandoned by their doctors and other healers and told to go home to die, or they refused the conventional surgeries for fear of death. People recovered from gangrene, tuberculosis, kidney failure, kidney stones, breast cancer, pancreatitis, leukemia, burns, malaria ( of 40 cases treated, 40 went in to complete remission ) and many other diseases and injuries that had advanced to life threatening status. Non life threatening conditions are address, including treatment of the common cold, gum disease, and skin disorders.

Part of the book is devoted to how he came to heal himself, and the rational for his therapy.

Armstrong's method of...
