K. L. Poteet: This was a very interesting book that I think I read in 2 days. Learned some things I didn't know about him, but his death really made me sad, more than most celebrities because he always made me laugh. He truly seemed like a decent, caring person who like so many other stars got into drugs pretty heavy and you have to kind of wonder if that didn't do some damage to him. But...it was a sad day when I heard he died by suicide.

Mis.Conduct: I ordered a used book and it arrived in immaculate condition! As for the book itself, it’s definitely a slow burn.. I’m 200 pages in and found the first 120 pages very repetitive in content. But, if you can get passed that much, it’s really starting to pick up and become quite interesting and informative. The book covers a little bit about his childhood and then gives you a chronological view of his career. While it touches on trials and tribulations, it does not appear to focus on them or go into much detail. So if you’re looking for the nitty gritty, you won’t find that here. Definitely not the best biography I’ve read, but not the worst.

Ronald A. Edwards: Book was written as a biology that mostly served up a chronology of the events in the life of Robin Williams. Some interesting facts were brought out in the book, but obvious linkages and development of connectable elements in the life of Williams were not there.

RELUCTANT BOOMER: Robin Williams was an amazingly gifted actor, comedian and human being. This biography brings
to light his relationship with an emotionally ungenerous father, a loving mother and a deep
sense of personal loneliness. Though he was so talented and gifted, he had an underlying sadness
from childhood rejection that he could often not transcend. The books touches on this - sort
of the man behind the talent - Good read -

Amazon Customer: This is a very eye-opening biography of Robin's life. It also clarifies the reason for his time here on Earth being cut short.

Chloe MyersChloe Myers: (THE IMAGES WERE TAKEN AFTER READING IT, THE BOOK ARRIVED IN AMAZING CONDITION)
Honestly was so insightful to read about Robin Williams' life in such depth. I thought I was a fan before reading this, but now I really am a fan. Most of the content in this book, I had no idea about!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Robin Williams and has curiosity about his personal life, upbringing as well as his career.
The one issue I have would be that the chapters feel too long most of the time. A lot of information and events happen in one chapter, it can be overwhelming and hard to stay on track of the timeline.

JL Populist: What I like about this book is the depth and loads of information. If you're a fan of Robin Williams you'll appreciate this book.
The author wrote a candid and respectful biography about a comic icon and complicated man.
What makes the book so good is the subject. Robin Williams was a brilliant, energetic, and endearing comedian. He was also human like the rest of us and he had his shortcomings. What came across even more in the book was his humility, insecurities and integrity.
Some of the information like how he got along with his comic friends, his connection to John Belushi, and his choices in films he acted in was insightful. Mr. Williams made artistic choices using his own criteria.
The lifestyle and his childhood were of interest also.
I thought that the chapters that covered after his death were enlightening. The medical information was new to me.
That's the sad part of Robin Williams's death. What he was experiencing mentally and physically cast new light on his demise.
The happy part was how he treated people in general. He comes across as kind as he was funny.
Great book!

Deborah Shames: As a lifetime fan of Robin Williams and a resident of Mill Valley for many years, I was excited to read Robin and it didn’t disappoint. David Itzkoff brought Robin Williams to life and I was only sorry it was over too soon. Thanks for a great read!
