Michele: While waiting for Daniel's next show, I decided to give this a go and I wasn't disappointed. As funny as seeing him live, with some added book-related humor. A must for Daniel's fans.

Janie U: It is unlikely that anyone is going to pick up this book without knowing the author's act and that is pretty much what you get with the book.
I was recommended to go see Daniel Sloss at Edinburgh 2022 by people who saw him in 2021 and loved him. They described his 2021 act and it was notable that the 2022 act had move on a long way, mainly due to the birth of his baby (which seemed to provide material for a significant part of his act). The dark humour remains though and I was keen to read the book as a follow up. He tackles subjects from which many comedians shy away doing it is a way that is hard to read and entertaining at the same time.
From the introduction onwards I read this book with a smile on my face, regularly chuckling out loud and reading sections to my partner (who will read it next anyway!).
The author's honesty comes across on every page and this flips into "over sharing" at times but this does make him very genuine which I liked. I hadn't realised it would be so autobiographical. All the time DS is challenging the reader, telling uncomfortable truths and finding comedy in the darkest of places.
There are many references to US readers, providing them...

Kyle Vachon: Daniel Sloss is a brilliant mind. Despite what he says in his books and standup. I think he should be considered an observer for the modern era of critical thinkers. He makes valid points, shares his ideas and does something absolutely incredible through his writing. One of his greatest gifts, is making people laugh and suddenly, out of nowhere silences the auditorium. He pulls it off in written words. Well, typed out but you get the idea. His writing is fantastic.

Everyone You Hate Is Going To Die is quite possibly one of the most interesting autobiographies I’ve ever read. Yes, technically it is. It’s a quick read and shares an entirely different perspective from a man that has done it all. At 30, he’s accomplished more than most grown men have. I respect that and even though I’m older than him, he’s a role model plain and simple.

I recently got into a relationship, it wasn’t working out and not long after that, met someone who’s great. We’ve known each other for a few years now and just recently, hit it off. Daniel Sloss’ Jigsaw special on Netflix played a critical role in that. This book takes his message even further, diving into the cold hard...

Michelle Kelly: For anyone who has watched any of Daniel Sloss' stand ups either on Netflix or Youtube, you should know he's not a delicate comedian - he likes to hit on subjects that are sensitive and make them open. His stand up show 'Jigsaw' inspired so many relationships to break up and divorce meaning he might have a point on some things... that being said, not everything he writes is easy to digest, and he doesn't expect it to be. If you are a sensitive soul who likes to like in your little bubble, don't read this. If you are okay with other people sharing their opinions on sensitive subjects as subtly as hitting it with a sledgehammer then give this a go! There's a certain Pokemon comment on page 6 that had me in stitches and there were things further on in the book that made me want to cry or reconsider my life choices and this is who Sloss is! He's not here to be your pal, he's not here to tell you everything is okay - he's here to be honest and I love it.
