Ashley: Definitely works to keep down mosquitos and fruit flies in the kitchen. The fan has a slight hum but isn't overwhelmingly loud.

Patricia F.: RETURNING / This product didn't meet my expectations based on:
1. Purchaser picture (bright violet purple), instead the LIGHT IS DULL. Bright violet was a selling point for me. Would have been an uplight/backlight in my main living space.
2. I have not noticed any change in moskito fly bys. Pests have not changed their flight path. Expected bait to resolve this after 3 day period (followed instructions).
3. While it captures pests equally well as an Amazon alternative (low profile UVA night light/plug in) its profile is larger (r/t aesthetics/decor). Not my preference.

MOSES: does nice job catching nats and fruit flys... wish it did a little better with mosquitos, tip-add a mosquito attractant and it works great. easy clean low voltage

ShannonShannon: We've always had to deal with fruit flys and gnats in the summer and fall. Never an infestation or anything major but still an annoyance. I've set out traps, bait stations, apple cider vinegar with soap etc. Never been able to get rid of them all. This little bug zapper seems to be working pretty good. Fairly small and quiet. I assume the bug zapper is a pretty low voltage "zapper". It's powered by USB so even if it had a dc to ac transformer built in (I don't believe it does) it would still be fairly low voltage. I have never heard it make a noise but as you can see in the pictures, it has made some victims of small gnats so whatever the voltage, it's enough to kill fruit flies/gnats. Those that don't get taken out by the "zapper" get pulled into the bottom via the fan and are then trapped in the base of the unit or by the sticky paper. Overall, it seems to be a decent little unit and I'm happy with the purchase.

Mark T. Schlipper: USB powered yes, but not rechargeable as stated in part of the description. There is no internal battery. This was a big selling point and therefore a big disappointment.

That said, it proved highly effective, which was the most important thing. So I used some velcro to attach a small power bank I had laying around, and now Thanos is truly portable.

While it does work without the attractant, I believe it works better with. So finding some kind of "refill" for that would be good.

All in all a good device that could be great. Worth it if you know what youre getting and not getting.
