Bryan Weber: The appearance reminds me of the old ones from middle school/high school back in the day. It performs well and has a great battery life plus it’s rechargeable. For me though, it’s pretty hard to use. I haven’t gotten a complete grasp on all its capabilities yet. I somehow doubt I’ll ever use every single feature it has nor will I ever figure them all out. Great for the price tho.

Raccoon: Wow! They have come a long way in terms of size, weight, appearance and portability since I was in school. Love the color options and that graphing is now color. I bought this for my husband and he was so excited.

Kristy C.: My son is in Pre-Cal. The apps were easy to install and calculator is easy to use. It passes all requirements , in TN, for ACT testing. Having the options for various colors is helpful with identifying which calculator is his. He’s the only one in his class with a red one.

AnthonyAnthony: Bought two of these for my two kids based on their favorite colors, and interestingly got two slightly different types of calculators. The purple one (Infinitely Iris) is the Python-enabled version of the calculator. Which to be fair doesn't really matter for the middle and high school math they're doing, but it's odd it differs based on color since other reviews have mentioned this too. The description doesn't mention the Python version at all so I was fine getting the non-Python version for the blue one and they're identical in all other ways. But just something to be aware of when choosing a color.
Other than that, it's basically the same TI graphing calculator that has been used in math classes since the dawn of time and that are still way overpriced for the ancient electronics inside but since TI has a monopoly on school calculators what else are you going to buy. At least in the 25 years since I got my TI-86 they now come with a higher resolution color screen which is nice and they are also much slimmer now. The biggest negative is TI really needs to do an update to stop using that ancient micro-B USB cable to charge and use a USB-C connector (or even micro-B). But...

Amazon Customer: I bought this for my wife because she was taking a calculus class. As it turned out she didn't need it that semester after all and so it didn't get used at all. The next semester came around and she was going to need it so she went to charge it and it just kept display and error message for needing to load software. I did some online checking and it said to reset it. I tried several time to reset with no luck. I went ahead and call Texas Instruments technical support and spoke to a gentlemen. I told him what we were experiencing with the calculator, he told me that it was a voltage issue and to try charging it for at least 8 hours. He said that if that didn't fix it to call back and the battery would have to be replaced. We charged it overnight and it was still doing the same thing so I called back. The individual was super helpful and said that they would send out a replacement battery right away at no charge. Once we received the new battery we charged it for 8 hours and the calculator works perfectly.

Hazmat: The one we got lacks the charging light.
It takes the older mini-USB cords (not micro, not USB-C), of which I have plenty - so when my teen misplaced the original I figured no problem - except they didn't seem to charge. So it's 12:30am and it's not charging, almost dead, and she needs it for class tomorrow.
>Eventually< figured out all my old cords worked - but it initially very difficult, because (i) we were looking for a charging indicator (as shown on most videos) that isn't there, (ii) the data sync cable has a >very slightly< different plug shape, leading me to believe it >just possibly< wasn't actually a mini-USB at all, but some proprietary plug I didn't recognize, and (iii) if there is a positive indication of charging on the LCD, I didn't notice it.
Yes, I was tired and slow - but it still didn't seem to be working. I don't need that kind of confusion / stress at 12:30 am.
More than stupid that they omitted such a basic feature - what, you saved $0.02 per unit? Too bad you can't calculate poor customer experience. It's moronic!
Otherwise seems a great unit (not that we have a choice, it's required, but still very...
