Joanne Allen: We used this as a temporary solution for our kitchen vent hood. It works well, however, this is not legal- at least not in my area. The way the hose is designed will catch grease and create an unsafe condition to start a fire. The vent hose that needs to be used has to be smooth on the inside and double walled. This is not. Those that are using this are possibly creating an unsafe environment in the kitchen. Just fair warning.
Be careful and do it right. It is convenient to install this, but should never be a temporary solution. Below is more info copied from a simple internet search:
“According to the International Residential Code (2015) Section M1503, ducts serving the range hood need to be airtight, equipped with a backdraft damper, and should have smooth inner surfaces. The code demands that ducts are comprised of rigid stainless steel, galvanized steel, or copper with double walls, and it should be airtight with smooth inner walls. This rules out all Flexi ducts since they do not have smooth inner walls and are usually made out of aluminum.”

Anibal Mota: El producto es de buena calidad, sin embargo no llegó con las características que se solicitó. Se pidió de 6" y llegó de 4". Por cuestiones de tiempo no pude regresarlo y se tuvo que comprar un accesorio más para hacer la reducción por lo que se generó un gasto extra.
