Easydusit57Easydusit57: You have to be a bit of a handyman to install this. There are several different methods that you can use to install this. I had to pull out the old connector that the dryer tube was being slid over. There was a complete metal connection and opening behind that that I drilled into and put screw studs into and then screw the screws into the studs. If you do not have an inside metal box to connect to then go get some small Molly screws with the wing nut tips and connect the ring using those. Too many people complained about something that everyone expects to be extremely simple. As long as you have a metal box receptacle behind the inlet, it’s not so hard. But if you don’t have the metal receptacle behind that wall, then you must come up with a different method to connect the ring.

ctk909: Doesn’t include screws or drywall toggles. It would cost the manufacturer 5 cents to include these but instead I get to waste an hour of my life on another trip to the hardware store.
Otherwise it seems good. I like that it’s 6” circular which lets it fit tighter spaces than all the other options which seem to be 7-9” squares.

The Tech Guy: Rather than using this for a dryer hose I'm using it for a Portable Air Conditioner exhaust vent hose in our cabin and it works great.
The quick connect flange installs onto the pipe on the wall with 3 screws and allows you to connect and disconnect your dryer house with ease leaving you with a clean appearance when the hose is not connected. This quick connect dock allows use to connect the air condition exhaust vent house during the summer and then disconnect it during the winter time.
The Dryer Dock solved two problems for me
1 - The wall I wanted to put the portable air conditioner against did not have a window so there was no way to vent the AC using the supplied window adapters
2 - Drilling a hole and installing a vent was easy but in the fall and winter time when the air conditioner is not in use the vacant dryer vent pipe looked ugly. I made an adapter cover which allows me to insulate the vent pipe during the winter and provide an attractive wall cover during the fall and winter when the AC unit is not in use.
Considering this Dryer Dock is just to simple pieces of plastic it is a little pricey but it does do the job so in my case it's...
