daterxies: Not sure how I could possibly do this wrong but I would pump a few times and it would transfer and I could see the gas go but then it would stop right away. Anyways it still worked for what I needed it for just by manually squeezing it and now my snow blower is summerized.

Paul R.: The pump works as intended; two or three squeezes of the pump gets a steady flow going. Only do you need to continue to squeeze the bulb if your supply is not high enough over the receiving container to create a syphon. I particularly like the fact that the flow can be stopped by pushing the cap on the top of pump - no longer is there a knob to turn to kill the flow making things a lot easier. The only part of the pump I'm concerned with is the flimsy flexible hose - I feel a thicker, sturdier hose would have been more appropriate (maybe a bit longer, too). As is, the pump should be OK for occasional use around the house but I don't think it would hold up long in a commercial daily-use environment if that's what you are considering this purchase for.
