YVReviews: The Moccamaster exceeds our expectations. I did a huge amount of research before buying the Technivorm. For us, this coffee maker meets our needs. The coffee is delicious and I often wonder how I ever accepted the sub par coffee that came out of our last machine. It arrived with some cosmetic scratches and Amazon couldn't replace it because it was out of stock, that was disappointing. So, we'll just live with it as is. The Technivorm has an impressive 5 year warranty.

Goodthrust: The core of the machine is solid but the rest like basket caraf feel cheap and flimsy.
It brews good coffee but not 400.00 good. My old cuisinart that i paid 80.00 was almost as good as this machine and way cheaper!

Read alot of hype about this machine and maybe thats why im so dissapointed. Yes its good but It can be alot better for the price. if i had to buy it again , I would not.

George Olah: Not an inexpensive coffee maker. I bought one for my son-in-law a few years ago who enjoys a really good cup of coffee. And when I am at his place I enjoy the coffee it makes so quickly. This product makes a fresh pot of coffee in around 6 minutes. And it keeps it at a temperature of your choice. So I bought one when my relatively new Cuisinart coffee maker started to leak. Moccamaster carafe doesn’t drip when pouring.

gabbyz: What a difference a well built coffee machine like the Technivorm Moccamaster KBG makes! Remarkable flavour-no exaggeration. A tip...when returning the glass carafe back on the hot/warming plate just lift the glass carafe upwards towards the filter and you will not have scratches due to the well designed tight fit (only mentioning this because of a review I read). I purchased the polished silver colour and it is super nice.

psl: UPDATE:

I've been using this coffee maker daily and it is growing on me. I confirmed that the brew temp is correct. (I used another thermometer and retested multiple times to confirm.)

The coffee pot:
As I stated in my initial review, I think the carafe is thin, but having it as long as I have, cleaning it, and using it daily, it is pretty tough. I've accidentally knocked it into the side of the sink a few times while cleaning it and it did not chip or crack.

I do still wish the basket and other parts were not made of plastic, but overall I am happy with the coffee maker.

Andrea Peters: Bought this after my Cuisinart Grind and Brew starting leaking. I was actually getting shocks when I touched the device! I've used their brand for a long time but they are cheaping out on their quality. I decided to go with a brand that stands by their product and produces a quality brewed coffee with a good warranty.

Dave Holdcraft: After using a Technivorm Moccamaster drip brewer for the past month, I want to share some thoughts:
There are a multitude of ways to brew coffee and casual drinkers to confessed addicts may have their personal preference locked in for a lifetime. That said, you’re looking at drip brewers or you wouldn’t be reading this review, so let’s get to it…
-Pros: quality copper heating element, sturdy build quality, modular design with replaceable parts, solid warranty and customer service States-side, fast brew times, beautiful bloom with consistent brew and taste quality, auto shut-off after 100 minutes in case you forget to switch it off.
-Cons: Bulky power cord, glass carafe is thin (necessary for heat transfer from hot plate), and the user must insert the carafe carefully to avoid scraping the hot plate.
Suffice to say, the cons pale in comparison but I do want to set proper expectations should you decide to purchase this particular coffee maker.
Now that I’ve developed a taste for black coffee I wanted to brew at home but I knew the cheapo-depot drip style coffee makers just wouldn’t cut it. They make acrid coffee that could be charged as aggravated assault...
