Jacob Mclelland: Only issue is the slip of paper that it comes with has a broken link, so you can register the product for warranty. Other than that I Iove this product! I’m a caffeine addict so being able to make hot coffee in the evening and cold brew in the morning is great. NOT having to spent $5 for a garbage fast food iced coffee is even better.

Mike P: This system works really well. The filter is extremely fine. Surprisingly it did not get clogged up as quickly as I expected. It washes out with no problems for me. And you can toss it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. The seam could come loose eventually, but it has a steel band around the outside of the top and bottom to keep it structurally sound. It is well made.

Based on my experience with cold brew coffee, here are some thoughts:

1. I foolishly filled it up to the very top with coffee grounds instead of leaving an inch up top. It took 10 min to filter all my water through. Don't do that. If you want to fill it up with coffee, use another technique as per below.

2. Using preground coffee or having a good grinder will give best results because the fines will not clog up the filter, thus allowing for more water flow and movement when you shake it. That said, even with my lousy blade grinder it worked fine and the grounds will always be surrounded with water... though I'd expect the water in the grounds to get pretty saturated unless you periodically shake it. But water tends to diffuse anyways so it probably takes care of itself.

NLT of NM: This cold brew coffee kit is more wonderful than I could have imagined. I've been looking into a different option for my coffee for quite some time. Some would call me a coffee snob, but I just knew there had to be a better way to make coffee, for someone that is fairly lazy about making coffee. I blame the bitterness of coffee for not ever becoming a daily coffee drinker. I learned about cold brew coffee when looking into making my own nut milks and storing them in mason jars. Thanks to YouTube, I knew I had to try cold brew coffee.

With this kit, I can say that I have jumped with both feet, and hands, into the daily coffee drinker world. I really had no idea how smooth my coffee could be. And I can't help but think of the many decades of drinking coffee that was made the wrong way. Right for so many people, but not a perfect fit for me. I'm now anxious to get up in the morning to have coffee.

I looked at other kits before deciding to buy this one. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased two kits. I had already been making cold brew tea, and having to strain the tea leaves from the 1 quart mason jar I use to make tea. This cold brew system can be used to make coffee or...
