Veronika Starr: I’m older and have the ubiquitous issues with joint pain, to the extent that it’s impeding mobility from time to time. Mostly knee and back issues which I generally manage well - but there are days, there are days.

I woke up this week with a pinched nerve in my back - this despite always carefully sleeping on my side with a firm pillow between knees and ankles to align the spine. Pinched as in I was hobbling around and that was just no good at all. I remembered I had bought this and decided to get it out and figure it out and now I’m adding on a two years old review because this thing is just that good.

It does have a slight learning curve about which button does what - I simply attached the electrodes and clicked the buttons until I could feel what I wanted. So easy.

I actually had bought a caheaper version and upgraded to this one because it has a time function (the other quit after 15 minutes) and the max power on this is much higher ( but for heavens sake start low and work your way up. These little things put out quite a jolt.

It’s exceedingly well built - it looks like an iPhone. You’ll want to also order extra electrode pads - even with...

JC: UPDATE: After speaking with customer service, they were able to rectify the problem with my unit. Upgrading my original review to 4 stars from 2 stars. I'm very happy with how quickly customer service was able to address my concerns.

I've had the unit for a while now and use it daily. The unit works well and the variety of programs provide a good set of options for how to do a treatment. The pads that come with the unit seem to have good lifespan and stick well. My main complaint is that I dropped this off the couch one morning when turning around, less than 2ft drop and now the units screen is completely broken. I can only see the top left corner so I have no idea what program I'm on. The unit seems to continue to work but without the screen to choose a program, I just have to guess at what feels good. In short, good unit but if you drop it, its going to die on you.

Ruth "Reno" Anderson: My husband and I both needed a tens unit for different issues. This little unit is not one of the super expensive ones, but it seems to be working. I wish the directions would have been a little clearer, but I have figured it out. I am still wondering why there are two ports for the two electrical cords - can you use them both at once? Still not sure but we will keep working with it. The good news, is that both of us seem to be have resolving issues. I had to look up how often I can use it and find I can use it oftener than we have been, so here goes. The screen style is a little old school and you have to press the Mode button many times to get to the one you want, and if you miss the one you want, you have to go all the way through all the modes again. So, price is right, and eventually you figure it out without many directions, and pain is being relieved - which is the most important. Charges quickly.
