TAMA HP200PTW Iron Cobra 200 Double Bass Drum Pedal

Bradley: I purchased this to use with a Roland electric drum set and it works well. I’m a beginner adult drummer, but it seems to be good quality for the money (only used for 2 days so far). The packaging didn’t seem to be too good and I was concerned because I heard metal parts shaking around in the box, but everything seemed to be ok. It does make some squeaky noises while using but maybe some WD-40 will fix that.

Amazon Customer: it works well. I only wish the bar in the middle was more adjustable. I just got td17kxv Vdrums. the cymbal stand & the second drum pedal sit almost on top of each other. hard to manipulate. took me a youtube video to figure out how to adjust the tension..other than that, it works as it should.

J0kat0k1420: Its sturdy, and solid well made materials, but I paid over 200 dollars for it and when I got it I was ready to set it up and use it but it was missing the bottom washer but that has the V notch in it that holds the whole left side spring assembly……. So the left pedal wouldn’t work at all because it didn’t have a simple little plastic notched nut that holds it together. So I had to go online and find it and I had to buy the WHOLE spring assembly and after shipping and everything it was about 35 bucks…… plus I had to go and fit and buy a temporary nut and washer to hold it together for the temporary fix. All in all, I was PISSED. Was really nice as I pulled it out of the box and I pull all my drum stuff out carefully and over my drum room table….. I checked EVERYWHERE to see if it fell but after over an hour and a half of looking in a corner I was fed up and knew it wasn’t there. Sad mistake for someone to make that a little plastic piece after spending hundreds of dollars on a product and not even being able to use the double bass you bought it for and having to spend more money to even make what you already paid for work. Multisport: Great double pedal for the money, great seller (arrived early). Pedal performs well, smooth and responsive. Does what I want. I have played for decades on my double base sets and bought this to use when traveling and don’t want to take 2 full sets. Only criticism is the left pedal does move / vibrate a bit and that’s expected as it’s not connected or stabilized by second base. Not deal breaker but experienced double base players should be aware. Overall very happy with it.

While I somehow managed to be unlucky enough to break this in the first week, I still rate it a 5 and recommend as the best back up pedal (traveling) best for edrumkit ( the clamp position and weight are just perfect.)

Its not a "beginner" pedal, it's just no frills and best by far in that regard."

It handled blast beats for 2 weeks straight mostly left foot leading, doublestrokes etc and hitting harder than anyone ever should as a workout. The pedal felt better than my other two 900s. they cut costs on the linkages and such but if you aren't going to abuse and torture this, I mean really play over 200bpm and as hard as you can, this is really the only pedal you "need" and best money you will spend.

Dave Warawa - PROSALESGUYDave Warawa - PROSALESGUY: I have been a drummer for 40 years and currently have a 20-year-old Roland V-Drum electronic kit that still works like the day I bought it after several moves and performances. I've added newer cymbals a few years back and decided to finally get a double kick. Wow! What a great way to rewire your brain to allow both hands and feet to be in involved in the drumming experience. These Tama pedals are excellent for this price point and extremely responsive. They also give you a lot of bounce from the drum head for bass drums rolls. The first night I played with them has my legs like butter - perhaps I overdid it - lol. Jean-Francois Jalbert: Received it the day after without using Prime..! It was looking new, unused. Easy to setup, works perfectly! After 2 days, the right kick pedal started to make some noise so as asked the seller what should I do, if I needed to lubrificate it! They said "Yes" few minutes after. I did it and now everything is fine. I like it!
