Gary Price: everything about this lopper is a good rating. It looks to be of very good quality. It will cut a 1 3/4 inch branch, but it does take some force to do it. The handles each have very FAST and EASY to use adjustments for length. The longer lengths help with leverage for tougher branches when you are old like me, and shortening the lengths makes the tool more maneuverable. The weight is a bit more than one you buy from a store, but the larger size of branches that can be cut makes up for that. I am glad that I purchased this tool. I haven't had to use the cordless power saw for the larger brush I am cutting since I received this product. I would recommend it to anyone.

mycorrado: Make quick work out of a tree like bush with thick branches, some over 1.5". the main trunk was over 2.5" so I did saw off the last bit of it.
